Came for a friend's wedding and what a stunning place especially against the autumn scenery. The staff were super friendly and catered to our needs. I stayed the night here as well and the rooms where lovely roomy and warm. Used the spa facilities here as well to end the stay and was relaxing. Will come back again!Rooms: 5/5
Lovely peaceful & relaxed environment. Staff friendly & helpful. Amazing food. Whole place had a very still & spiritual energy, having been a nunnery in the quite recent past. Worth checking out the chapel with extraordinary stain glass window. One of the managers showed us & gave some history which is really interesting. I think the hotel do a great job of looking this heritage building. Thank you for a great mini break
A breathtaking period building set in the countryside of wonderful East Sussex. It doesn't get better than this if you are after a relaxing romantic weekend in England. In the immaculate grounds we spotted some beautiful wildlife. Breakfast was brilliant. A choice of 2 restaurants for the evening meal with the main restaurant in the original building being much better so book it in advance as it gets booked up at the weekends. Swimming pool is gorgeous and the gym is well equipped. This is not a family weekend but is ideal for couples.
Went here for a friend's wedding. This is a castle hotel, a great place, the venue is spacious and quiet, and there are many places in the hotel where afternoon refreshments can be provided, the hotel It feels very comfortable and warm. The room was very nice with a great view. The service is also great. But we are attending a wedding and there should be a discount. The hotel did not give such a big hotel no integrity
A lovely Easter break. Visited Ashdown Park Hotel with my family for a one nights stay. Our rooms were upgraded and were very spacious and luxurious. Service throughout the hotel is great and friendly. The spa is very clean, particularly in the changing rooms. A special thank you to Alina at reception and Mohammed in the restaurant for making our stay extra special with their fantastic service. What could be improved: - lifts around the hotel! The stairs are really difficult for far away rooms. - it would also be such an improvement to have a sauna and steam room in the spa. Thanks again!
My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in January 2023. We had a lovely stay and they made us feel very welcome and remembered it was our anniversary. We were even given an upgrade on our room. A special mention for Rosie at the Spa who gave me my massage which was wonderful. All in all a perfect stay. Thank you
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location.Very warm and comfortable rooms. All the little extras that you expect are in the room. But the food let's the place down. Nothing was fresh. Got a bread roll with my soup it was like concrete. At breakfast the pastries were stale and the sausages were in a pool of fat. I did get a full body massage and it was gorgeous I loved it.
Ashdown Park Hotel is a great place to stay The quality of the food is good with just a enough of a range. Service was excellent, for example the staff handled the fact we both have allergies very well. Slight down side of our one night stay was the room. It was a nice room except for the noise from boiler. We would stay here again just in a different room. Rooms: Some rooms can be a bit noisy Food & drinks: Forest Brasserie has great food in a slightly more relaxed environment. The only thing that you need to note is that you have to walk outside the main hotel building down to the country club.
Just back from a group golf/tennis weekend at APH, whilst the building and the grounds are stunning, the value for money on all fronts is pretty poor. The golf course itself is really unkempt, but that is somewhat reflected in the cost to play. Rooms under average in value, food punchy in price but drinks absolutely astronomical! You’ll struggle to get a bottle of wine for under £50, and these aren’t fine wines, they are bottles which RRP at circa £17. £20 per cocktail and £11 a glass of wine. Lovely hotel for a wedding or anniversary where cost may not be an object, but not at all group/golf break friendly in my opinion.
Stayed at this fantastic hotel for my wife's birthday weekend. I had asked the hotel to keep it a secret that our friends were meeting us there on the second day which wasn't an easy task for staff who are very busy going out of their way to make everyone feel special. I will definitely be staying here again and would thoroughly recommend this beautiful hotel.
