I regularly stay at a nearby hotel and this is the closest supermarket, so I visit fairly often. On my most recent trip, I experienced an issue at the self-checkout that I feel could have been handled better.nOne of the items I purchased had a reduced sticker on it, but when I scanned it, the machine picked up the original barcode and charged full price. The reduced label had been placed in a way that made it difficult for the scanner to recognise the correct price. I asked a staff member I believe her name was Rashmi for assistance.nWhile the pricing issue was resolved, I felt the interaction could have been more professional. I was told I had scanned the item incorrectly and was then shown how to scan it in a way that felt somewhat patronising. I understand that staff may deal with similar situations frequently, but clearer placement of reduction labels would likely prevent this from happening.nAs the staff member walked away, she spoke to a colleague in a different language and both appeared to laugh while looking in my direction. My partner understood what was being said and felt the comments were not complimentary, which added to our disappointment.nI attempted to raise the issue in store, but the customer service desk was busy with only one team member on duty. I later contacted the national customer service team, who acknowledged my concerns and said the store would follow up, but I have not yet received a response.nIn addition, there are often long queues at the self-checkouts, limited staff on manned tills, and some machines frequently out of order. Improving staffing levels, equipment maintenance, and general store cleanliness would significantly enhance the customer experience.nI hope this feedback is taken constructively, as the store is in a convenient location and has the potential to provide a much better experience with some improvements in customer service and operations
I too would give a zero if I could. If it wasn't for the fact that my blood pressure is controlled by medication I would have collapsed or worse had a heart attack today!! It was blunder after blunder and mis-communication on top of mis-communication, and simply just to find out whether Asda, Wembley were a part of the 'podback' recycled coffee pod scheme. It's apparent that in these times of 'new normal', communication to our stores as we once knew them are either automated or AI, very few humans anymore!! The messages then turned into options which then turned into asking you to find out for yourself on their website. I go to the website and no options exist regarding recycling of coffee pods, so I call back again. 5, yes 5 telephone calls later, I am speaking with a Security guard who said he would find out for me and 10mins later I realized he wasn't coming back to the phone!! Very frustrating and unkind to leave a customer holding with no intention of helping with her enquiry. So on my 6th & final attempt,as I was getting ready to drive to the store, I spoke with possibly the same Security guard who transferred me to Customer Service, and they answered my question. Note: for anyone else out there who drinks Nespresso coffee and collects the pods for recycling, Asda, Customer Service, Wembley will take your empty pods at their desk & post them off to be recycled... Sheesh!!
This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. A staff member named Ms Jayshree behaved in a completely rude, aggressive, and unacceptable manner when I politely asked to change an item.nInstead of helping, she shouted at me and made outrageous comments such as:n“You saw this when you bought it! You saw the colour! Don’t you have eyes to see before buying?”nI was shocked by her tone, attitude, and lack of basic respect. No customer should ever be spoken to like this. Her behaviour was so hostile that I had to ask security to intervene to stop the situation from escalating further.nThis was not a misunderstanding — it was verbal abuse from a customer service employee who clearly should not be dealing with the public. The fact that security had to get involved says everything.nI will never shop at ASDA again, and I strongly advise others to think twice before coming here if they expect even basic courtesy and professionalism.nAbsolutely disgraceful.
Always double check the price when scanning! This is not the first time that product price was different than what I see displayed and what I payed. When doing a big shopping and a cashier is scanning the items it is impossible to double check everything that quickly. The roll back prices are not accurate, like you display as £3, but you pay £4.24 ! Also, the sticker was missing from a product, the cashier said she cannot search in the system by name, so we can guess the price. I said no, I don't want to but it this way, put on the side. And I came home and the product is on the receipt! A payed for it and you put it on the side for yourself?! Also, you let a big group coming with new people and trolleys in front of me because they belong together, when they were never there when I queued up. Very very rude. I will never do my big shopping here anymore, something is always wrong.
How a supermarket can bad like this? The attitude of the female staff in the customer service counter is a disaster. The cashier lick her own fingers right before she touched my foods. And it smells extremely bad. And the pharmacy can’t be even more worse.
