Twice I had to make a 30 minute, approximately 2 mile walk, in order to return 2 of the same defective brushes, which both broke after approximately 20 minutes of use. I arrived the second time at approximately 2.35p.m on the 18/11/22. After waiting patiently for my turn to get served, I explained to the female Shop Assistant that I had to take time out of my busy schedule and that this was the second 30 minute roundtrip on foot that I had made . Her response was "We all have to do that." I tried to explain that unless she had walked a 30 minute roundtrip on 2 occasions, she was in fact wrong to say "We all have to do that." I failed in my attempt to explain her erroneous statement because she walked away from me as I was talking to her, which I was trying to do in order to get a £5 refund and that I did not want to take another defective brush for the third time as offered because in all likelihood that brush would probably break too. When she eventually came back, after having checked that the defective brush was priced at £5, she said "I had to check the price.", which was surprising as it was mere seconds before that I had told here that the brush cost £5. Seconds later she threw the £5 refund at me after retrieving it from the till. From start to finish I was presented with nothing but a negative attitude from what I would guess is a middle aged, red haired dyed I think woman. Not exactly customer service par excellence. Neither was being cut off by the customer contact centre, during my attempted verbal complaint about the previous incident, after having waited approximately 40 minutes for a human to answer, in the meantime having to suffer repetitive cheesy music on a loop, and having to suffer the automated female voice telling me that there is a high volume of calls, and that a customer service representative would answer me shortly. I guess the high volume of calls was due to so many people wanting to complain, as we would hardly contact the call centre and wait approximately 40 minutes to be answered by human in order to congratulate ASDA for their excellent customer experience. Would we? From now on I am not going to waste my time or money purchasing anything else from this organisation and I am going to purchase from the Iceland store instead. The worst customer experience I have ever had and I am nearly 58 years old.
Was at the manned till today only to be told by the lovey checkout girl that 5 new self tills are replacing the normal tills. That's putting 5 Asda girls on the dole. Also while I was in the Que at the manned till a member of staff was coming over from the self checkouts and kind of bullying old ladies to use the self checkout Not even giving them an option and very intimidating A big banner or campaign needs to be displayed outside this Asda to encourage the public to use the normal tills NOT THE SELF CHECKOUT TILLS Hi, it was Friday afternoon 3rd March bout 1pm to 2pm.Staff member working on the self tills, tinted glasses a bit bonny & looked a bit like Olive from On the Buses. She was going over to the manned tills and getting customers to use the self tills. She came over to an old lady in front of me at the manned till and said you using card?No hello or anything, and made the poor old lady walk over to the self tills and she clearly didn't want to use those self tills. So why are you introducing 5 more self tills, staff at the manned tills were chatting and clearly don't want these tills. Have you done any surveys with customers or staff to see what their views are???
One of the only Asdas in Liverpool 24 hours and just like that you’re no longer a 24 hour asda? I’m a night worker and can only do my shop early hours of the mornings. Absolutely disgraceful lived round here 22 years and it’s always been 24 hours!
I approached the only two manned checkouts and at each of them was told closed now "hun!"! So, reluctantly went to the self checkouts. I find these very difficult to use as i struggle with dyslexia. After queuing for a few minutes it was my turn, I started to use the screen when a male staff member walks up and removes my bag from the bagging area and tells me "I'm gonna do something with this one so use another"! He was not pleasant, polite, or apologetic and didn't so much as look at me while he spoke. Also when I asked for my blue light card to be verified the same staff member added a carrier bag onto my bill but I had infact used my own. Won't be going back.
Met the love of my life here . Love the reduced section filled with absolute bargains. Good range of food only thing I can say is that they never have king prawns in stock
I find it comical that people complain about the dire service in that store. Sone representative from the store comes on and apologised for the service not being up to standard. I think they will find given the number of complaints that poor service is the usual standard. I have never seen a staff anywhere so disinterested
I think it’s a good place to shop, a little bit expensive but staff are most of the time nice and has nearly everything you would need.
Just been in to this store for a pizza told by the girl behind the counter that she can't serve me as she's going home in a minute, walked away for at least 3 minutes and saw she was still there. All I wanted was a garlic bread which takes literally 30 seconds to make as I've purchased before , bit my tongue and walked away this seems to be the attitude of some of the staff in this store but emphersize not all of them.
Just been in store super busy ques right up the isles and self serve was busy too. Loads of staff standing around with here to help tshirts on doing absolutely nothing. Why not put more tills on? Lady on till was super slow kept on walking away from the till and making long conversations with the 4 people in front of us. We were more than 20 minutes in the queue with a disabled child who has very difficult behaviour and having a full on melt down. Finally got to the till when the lady serving said "here's the 5 oclockers for everyone that starts 5 finish it's ridiculous.!" No what's ridiculous is waiting 20 plus minutes in a 4 person queue. Shocking customer service I'm so stressed.
Do not buy meat from this Asda!!! Today I went in to get something quick from the hot counter and bought a peri peri chicken burger, when I got in I started eating it to see it was bright pink inside I took it back to the store and they demanded it was cooked. Never buying meat from here again!
