Visited asda havant with my daughter. Spent all morning clothes shopping in store and then had lunch in store and food shop in store. Between us spent about £300. Just received a parking fine £70. Totally shocked. Says there is a 3 hour limit? How can you provide clothes shopping a cafe and food shop and expect people to be out in 3 hours. Totally disgusted. Also my daughter has been many times before and not berm charged. If it is a new thing you should be telling your customers at the door or the tills or something. Furious. Wish i had spent my hard earned money somewhere else. Was trying to save money as the asda clothes range is reasonably priced. I have contacted the store and they quickly agreed to refund me which has made me re review and change from 1 to 4 stars. Still think it's a bad system for such a large store to have a 3 hour limit but at least they have been good about refunding parking charge
Recently Asda has put down its feet on every product prices, As if they’re only super market for shopping! Every week they increase their product’s prices dramatically! This is just an example “ Kinder Mini Treats 16 Pack 200G” is £280 while in Tesco , Sainsbury’s and Morrison £2.40 and in Lidl for £1.99 . If those other supermarkets can sell it and yet make profits at lower price , why not Asda?! So maybe Asda has decided to compete with Waitrose for higher prices!
Running low on petrol and think you'll drive to the biggest Asda in the area at noon on a weekday to fill up? Good luck, they're probably shut the garage for some reason. Far too often I've driven here and they are closed for no apparent reason
A huge Asda store with groceries, clothes and items for the home. When we visited the car park was very busy. Once inside it was obvious that it was a very busy Saturday afternoon with most aisles very busy. We had a quick look around and there was plenty of choice and lots of large displays of food and drink for Christmas. At the front of the store the tills are very busy and social distancing was difficult so we decided to leave and perhaps return on a quieter evening when hopefully it wouldn’t be so busy.
Impressively superior to a lot of shops in the surrounding area of Portsmouth/Havant/Waterlooville, especially the particularly bad Sainsbury shops locally. The extra special fruit is a cut above and rivals M&S as an equal. Staff are very friendly and we chat when we visit in the night. Kind of surprised to say but this shop when its quieter is a solid middle-class experience.
I am disabled and was unable to pick up my much needed food shopping from click and collect. After speaking to a gent all was sorted. The guy on the phone was so very helpful....really appreciate it
Yes its a super center. Great place to shop all the essentials. There is a cafe inside the super center. Check the offer and shop. World food session is very useful for international shoppers especially Indians. Those indians who are looking for desiccated coconut can find them on counter 7. You can also find useful household items on sale at George's section. Check the offers in the website and shop electronics and other house hold items. They got a really good collection of electronic goods. Make sure you scan and go so you'll know how much you got in your shopping bag, otherwise you'll pick the items on the go and get ready to break the heart at the billing counter the store is super big and we may pick more items than in our shopping list. Overall great experience. Great job ASDA. Special mention about the super center's super parking. Really great parking space available. ASDA fuel station also nearby like most other ASDAs.
You need to tell your checkout assistant Phil to cheer up and learn some customer service skills. Very rude just because you wanted to get off the till and your replacement couldn’t log in ! Don’t take it out on your customers!
Now I like this store I fact I travel down from farnborough to do my shopping here.. but today I was absolutely disgusted by the state of the women’s toilets. I stood waiting for a clean cubical and toilet only for a staff member to walk out of one I walked in she had left urine over the seat.. I don’t even know how she managed it and once I realised I turned around and walked out and she went straight from the cubical and back onto the shop floor without washing her hands. So that is delightful teach your staff general hygiene!! Absolutely vile!
Always well stocked, clean, helpful till staff and generally not overcrowded. Excellent car park.
