This pharmacy or at least a member of staff has been assisting a stalker I have had for 20+ years and deliberately lying and misleading me. Intentionally not answering the phone and issuing a medication, namely Tramadol, to a mystery person who they refuse to tell me was. I requested details of who signed for it, when they came in, when it was done etc and I was lied to. I have just spent over 90 minutes on the phone, only to be lied to that the "screens aren't working" after they answered. Disgusting behaviour.
Pharmacist was clueless, 18/04/24. I take propranalol and citalopram and was buying cocodamol for sciatica, which their previous pharmacist told me its ok to take 3 days on, 3 days off, as he did for treatment of sciatica. Today the pharmacist told the inexperienced assistant that she could not sell me cocodamol because i take propranolol and citalopram at night. This is INCORRECT, these medicines DO NOT interact and the fact that a so called trained pharmacist said they did is ATROCIOUS quite frankly. There's a chemist right opposite yours, I'll go there in future.
Waste of space, very slow with prescriptions. Very unwellI at the moment, so I took some time to collect. When I collected it, I asked if various medicines were in there and was told they were. When arriving home, the most important tablets I needed were missing. Tried to call several times, but they never answered. This is the final straw after years of inefficiency. With the struggling NHS and pharmacy getting money from them, when they haven't supplied the prescription, it is tantamount to fraud, and I will be complaining to the ICB. If you have any sense, they keep away from this pharmacy!
The staff are usually helpful and polite but the whole pharmacy feels disorganised. I could go in a week after my prescription is sent over and it still wont be ready. They also never answer the phone. Been trying frequently for the last two days and they just don’t pick up. Shame really. It’s handy that they’re open late as they’re the only pharmacy around that are.
Unempathetic and rude pharmacist loudly broadcasted a patient’s business for everyone else in the queue to hear. Also warning that this pharmacy has an arbitrary cut off for when they’ll stop filling prescriptions which is 30 mins before their actual closing time, if this is the case it should be made clear on the opening hours seeing as it is a pharmacy after all.
Staff prefere talking behind the wall where you can hear every word of their gripes, very slow service, would highly recommend using speedwell pharmacy instead just a few doors down.
I don’t like being negative as I’m fully away how stretched Pharmacies are at the moment but I do feel this store needs to be more organised. Unfortunately every time we have been here have been issued with getting the medication, whether they have to order it in which is fine but being told it will arrive the next day and turning up a few days later and it’s still not in or ready. Another time we had an urgent out of hour’s prescription, my husband waited for about 45 minutes and everyone around him had gone, he spoke to the assistant who found the prescription in the box next to them and were like ‘oh, we don’t have it’ He was was frustrated as he’d seen someone put something in the box about 20 mins before so he was waiting without being told. The latest issue which has prompted me to write this review. I had a prescription that had been put in a week prior for my son, it’s a medication which needs to be ordered in but it’s not a problematic one so I gave it the week for them to order before going to collect. When I went to get it I was told that it hadn’t been ordered and wasn’t in stock so I had to go elsewhere to see if they had any they didn’t and now we are 3 days later and he hasn’t had his medication for 2 days now. Fortunately it’s not a life threatening item. The staff themselves seem lovely and are helpful but it is just disorganised!
The working hours ate from 7:00 am til 23:00 pm, for the last few days I have trying to get my prescriptions around 22:30 pm as the pharmacy is closed , with no information why or if they change their working hours . And even if my prescriptions are send from my GP , always have to wait 2 days for them to have all ready as they never have the prescriptions ready . Such a bad service .
Be nicer if there were more staff the queue is too long
My doctors sent an emergency prescription because I was in desperate need and in a great deal of pain. When I got to the chemist they informed me it would take 48 hours to dispense. Absolutely shocking , I was in agony and they wouldn’t do it.
