Messy store and terrible cafe. Waited 25 minutes for some crumpets which arrived cold, had to take them back and ask them to replace with warm ones which took another 10 minutes. There were 2 staff customer facing and no one waiting to be served, so it's unclear why the lengthy wait. Tables needed clearing and wiping down, there was what appeared to be tomato sauce on ours and food on the floor. Staff were young and although not unpleasant had no interpersonal skills with customers. Would not recommend the cafe at all, and the store in comparison to others that are local to us northwest England it fell short of their standards.
I was disappointed with the coffee shop. The breakfast wrap was pitiful, to say the least, and not worth £4.50. The rest of my experience was excellent, and the lady at the till was happy and polite.
Good range of home and clothe, however the shop wasn't particularly busy yet there was a queue due to the small number of people serving. Some of the shelves were in need of a tidy up. The maybird centre is always busy with cars and traffic to get to.
Awful experience here today, tried to refund a top I had brought 1 week ago from this store along with the receipt, to be told I had already returned it. After lots of frustration, the manager who was completely uninterested in resolving the issue told me I could have a gift card instead of a refund however the systems were down so actually I couldn’t. Completely refused to refund me despite my statutory rights, ended up leaving after about half an hour with my toddler screaming and no refund or gift card in sight. Went straight to Redditch Asda who refunded me within about two minutes of being in store. Will not be visiting again, the lady on the checkout was rude and miserable and the manager could not wait to get back to her office. Worth mentioning the week before I had visited and couldn’t access the upstairs which is ironically where the baby clothing is due to the broken lift so if you have a pram or use a wheelchair or want a refund…don’t bother going
Useful homewares etc at very reasonable prices. The tea lights are exceptional value.
