Toilets are absolutley disgusting, poop and pee all over the pans, toilet paper all over the floors. Avoid them and go up the stairs to the ones in the Forge. There is no way that they have been cleaned even once today plus there was about 4 other women who had walked out and refused to use them. Vile.
It's a shame it seems every time I go there there are less tills and more self checkouts.. going to have to stop going. People need to stop doing their job for them. The store needs more tills and less self checkouts.
First of all, I am a regular customer of this supermarket. I usually go there three times a week. The main reason I give 2 stars is that you often mismark pricesThe discount is marked on the label, but many times the price is not the same when I pay. Most of the staff are happy to help outHowever, it does not mean that every time staffs are willing to help correct, some staff are very reluctant to help correct, and they will look at me with disgust even if it is your supermarket's mistake.
Firstly I have to mention the only reason I am giving only 3 stars is simply because of how expensive it has gotten lately especially since the takeover to shop there. A lot of everyday essential items have increased in price from anything like 25 pence to a pound in some instances even more than that and it seems every time I shop there that it's went up again.nI am aware some of it was due to the cost of living crisis but that doesn't explain things like 400g of basically their own make cooked meats now being £2.75 when I can go to Aldi or Lidl and get the same thing for roughly £2. This is just one small example but it applies to so many things now that I would rather go to Aldi or Lidl which are both 20-25 minutes from my house as Asda which is literally a 5 minute or so walk for me.nThe 3 stars are pretty much all for the staff who work there and the customer service both of which are great. If I was rating them solely on that it would have been an easy 5 stars all day long. A special mention for Judy I think that's the name but I can't be 100% certain who works the customer service desk.nAfter going through a week from hell that led me to lose my wallet, bank cards, access to my accounts and email as well my mobile phone, I went into Asda to top up a new PAYG sim that I had never used before for a secondhand mobile I had managed to scrape the money together for just an hour previously. It seemed to be an overly complicated method to get it topped up & registered for the first time and if it had not been for her help it really would have been next to impossible for me to get it done.nEven with her help it took almost an hour she did also deal with 3 or 4 other customers in that time while she sorted out getting the sim topped up but she never once gave the impression of it being a time consuming hassle for her, was nothing but friendly, courteous, sympathetic and helpful towards me. My appearance and the fact I was still in a fairly major panic because of the situation I had just been through would have not made a good impression either. While it would have been easy to dismiss me as either a crackpot or just dismiss me as being a liar, she took me at face value, did not judge me in the slightest and was nothing but kind & I really felt like she had went above & beyond in order to assist me.nIt really was customer service at it's very best and after such a stressful & horrible week, it was one of the few occasions I felt someone had been kind & courteous and I appreciated it just because it meant a lot to me at that particular time. I have since been in and once again thanked her personally but it just didn't feel like enough, hence this review.nWhile I have always found the staff at Parkhead Asda to be friendly and helpful that experience at the customer service desk was probably in the top 5 best ever customer services experience in my life ever and as such really deserves to be mentioned in this review. My thanks once again to all staff who dealt with or helped me but especially the staff at the Services desk.
copy of my complaint e-mailnnI would like to report incident which Has happened at your store Asda Forge Parkhead.nI was shopping with my son today after 3pm, he was helping me to scan items at self checkout.nnAs a parent I would like to prepare my son to become Independent Adult in the nearest future.nnThere is no sign in self checkout Area informing that Children under age 16 are no allowed to scan items or pay for goods.nI understand that the lady was doing her job , but the way she verbally attacked my husband, myself and my son was unaccaptable. Your employee name was Lunnette . She was trying to suggest me that my son scanned energy drink which is not true and you can easily check this on the camera.nnAs a parent I would never let my son to scan alcohol or energy drink. Basically Lunnette was trying to convice me that I am irresponsible by letting my son scan Energy drink which wasn't true. Again you can check this on camera as I am not lying and I've been embarresed in front of other customers by her action.nnMy son was crying and now he is so stressed after the whole situation.nHe is scared to go shopping now and help me with anything at the shop.nnIf there are restricted rules like this there should be a sign in each of your store informing about such rule rather then screaming worker .nMy son is only 9 year old and now he Has trauma from being verbally attack for helping parents.nnAlso if the children are not allowed to help parents how I am supposed to prepare him for an Adult life ?nnI agree if it comes to alcohol or energy drink but not if is about the food.nShop like this should be family friendly.nnAlso Lunnette Has spoken about us to her friend rather than apologise to my son who was absolutely scared and crying.nIt is not nice to speak about someone when I am standing next to you.nWhy would you be so rude ?nAgain I understand she was doing her job but if I didn't know about rules like this you Cannot attack myself and my son like she did.nnLunnette could politely explain that to me so I could be aware of this kind of rules and I could speak to my son .nI am absolutely confused about the whole situation and upset for my son, and Can you please send me copy of your shop policy? As Lunnette state this rule is a shop policy.nPlease make sure that there is a sign informing other parents because I Cannot imagine if there will be an autistic Child or Child with disabilities attacked like we've been.nAbsolutely unprofessional.
