One of the more pleasant of the Asda stores I've been to in terms of layout and ease of navigation. Most staff are friendly and efficient. I mainly use this to top up the grocery shop, and to collect online orders. Go early in the day or late evening if you want to avoid the rush, especially of a weekend, they are open until 10pm Monday to Saturday.
Asda Eastbourne Supermarket at Sovereign Harbour is massive – seriously, it’s got everything. Loads of parking, super friendly staff, and you can even order online or get picked/dropped. Prices are decent, and there’s a huge range of stuff – groceries, clothes, even some special wear. Plus, you can bargain, which is rare these days. One of the biggest grocery spots I’ve seen in the UK. Definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!
In their cafe I was given a tea not a pot with tea bag inside. When I went to pour milk from jug on the side I inadvertently poured a bit too much. Given that the strength of the tea was poor and weak the drink thereafter looked bland and watery. I asked the lady if I could have another tea bag, but in a stern manner refused and said I would have to buy another tea. Really? We our probably dealing with a 20p cost tea bag...probably one of their own cheap brands. I explained the volume of milk came out of the jug quite abundant and rapid in which she replied it had never happened to anyone else. Of course all my fault. Needless to say I won't be using their restaurant services again. Very well done that woman for alienating customers over a 20p tea bag!
Scanned all my own stuff. Had a basket check. Staff couldn't find the scanner to do the check. Waited 15 minutes. Told 'hard luck by staff member. About 10.30am Sunday 24th of August. In disgust I chose to scan everything again at the regular scan points. Worst Asda I've ever been to.
I really enjoyed shopping here. First off, there is a great car park, and this store is amongst other notable stores too that you might want to visit as well. This Asda is huge with a great range of stock, and comprises other concessions within it too. It was great to shop elsewhere for a change while indeed knowing that it is going to be relatively inexpensive too.
