I’ve had consistently great experiences at Asda in Bedminster! The store is spacious and well‑stocked—especially after recent upgrades, with bright new signage, food-to-go counters, and an improved layout making shopping a breeze. Prices are competitive, and they now offer convenient same-day delivery and click & collect options, which save me time during busy weekdays. I also appreciate their quieter shopping hour between 2–3 pm Mon–Thu—ideal for calmer visits. Friendly staff and ample parking complete the experience. Overall, a reliable, modern supermarket that strikes a great balance between value and convenience!
Over the past few months, I’ve had an increasingly uncomfortable experience at this store, which has ultimately led me to stop shopping there entirely. I’ve been a loyal customer for nearly four years, but the ongoing behaviour from certain staff - particularly some members of the security team, and a floor supervisor - has felt completely inappropriate. Based on my experience, I would describe it as harassment.nnOn numerous occasions, I’ve been subjected to stares, smirks, and what appeared to be staff members speaking about me or watching my movements. This wasn’t a one-off incident, but an ongoing pattern that created an atmosphere of discomfort and unease, causing me a great deal of distress. At times the conduct bordered on intimidation, with groups of staff clearly fixating on me in a way that felt targeted and unnecessary.nnSupermarkets should be safe, neutral spaces where customers can shop without fear of judgment, scrutiny, or inappropriate attention. Sadly, that has not been my experience here. I have raised this issue formally with their head office in the hope that the store will review its internal culture and ensure all staff - particularly those in customer facing or supervisory roles - are trained to treat all shoppers with dignity and respect.nnI don’t write this lightly, but I hope this feedback will be taken seriously so that others do not have to feel the same level of distress in future.
It's an ASDA, and the quality is that of one. There are a lot more connected areas which makes this spot sort of interesting, a Mcdonals and Greggs if you're wanting some lunch before/after your shop, not something I'm used to but quite nice to have the option if you need to grab something before you shop. The staff experience I had was lovely, there was a nice lady who complimented my partner's Slipknot shirt and was super helpful. If you're local it's a great spot to do your weekly shop, I didn't stay too far away so it was an easy walk over to grab a snack and the essentials. :
Went in recently to drop off some coffee pods. The staff were very helpful and fruendly. It was actually quite a straightforward shopping experience: items were in logical places, and there were quite a few actual staffed checkouts, which is rare in a lot of shops now.nIt's a shame it's quite far away or I'd go regularly for my shopping.
My partner came in looking for beer today to stock our new shop and we were looking for a specific brand. Kelly was really helpful and opened a new pallet and helped him get one from the middle. Thanks so much!
