Possibly the most unhelpful staff, layout and stock options. Went there to visit the pharmacy and was refused emergency prescription fulfilling 1 hour before close when there was 3 staff available, was told admin was more important.nnAnother time visited and selected 3 for 2 option on airport minis, all the products were labelled wrong so was charged twice the amount that was displayed on the label and no 3 for 2 discount when we got to the till. When we asked staff about this they were frantic and rude and told us we should have read the barcodes to figure it out and tapped the self service tills so hard the screen was shaking and other customers were all in visible shock. [Photo includes example of wrong item in wrong place labelled as £4.50 single or as part of discount 3 for 2, but was £7.80 at till and not part of discount. ]nnThere any many instances of unpleasant experiences at this shop.nnOverall: in a convenient location but I would not go there if I wanted a reliable shopping or pharmacy experience.
I’m a devout Lidl shopper, but with hungry offspring at home and 20 mins to kill, I betrayed my allegiance.nnAll the usual groceries seemed to be available. As I plucked a chicken from the fridge by its leg and walked with it at arms length towards the self checkout I was taken aback by a hottie saying hello.nnI knew this face, mmmmm, we’d had 2 dates in the last week. A very first date, followed soon after by a salacious second that had ended just yesterday lunchtime. By mid morning today, distracted by everything in my path, and incapable of any form of self restraint, I had made it known that I was available this evening Perhaps a little too keen, but the days of cockblocking myself and playing it cool are a thing of the past. I seemingly couldn’t talk him into a Monday night rendezvous, but my body remained unperturbed, tingling, maybe receiving signals from the universe that the date was arranged after all.nnUnder the fluorescent lights of the chicken aisle, things were going well. The massive raw chicken was acting as some kind of decoy to detract from the DIY rags I was wearing, this moment a poignant reminder of why I’d vowed to retire them from public life in 2026.nnNext thing I knew we were kissing by the self checkout, before taking things to the next level with the act of actually paying for the chicken. Just when I thought things couldn’t be going much better, especially for an Asda, I glanced down, sighting a Brucey bonus of £2.90 just laying there waiting to be taken in the change tray of the till.nnThe next stage of this impromptu third date, maybe predictably, was kissing in the dimly lit car park, where you can generously park for 2.5 hrs I noted. Pushed up against my car I half expected one of my parents to drive by and catch me, even though they don’t live within a hundred mile radius. Still, deliciously thrilling nn for the kissingn for the actual Asda
Useless staff. Almost like they don’t want to work. Miserable grumpy and pathetic. Don’t get me started on the security too. Always opens the door 10 minutes late, probably because of lack of sleep or something. Needs replenishment of staff from top to bottom!
The store has a little bit of everything: clothing, toys, homeware, snacks, and more.nYou can also find reasonably priced kitchen appliances and some very cute bed covers.nIf you’re after a specific item, it might be best to order online or opt for click-and-collect, as availability can be hit-or-miss.
I was waiting at the returns department/kiosk, which was very busy and there was one person behind the counter, she was dealing with returns and serving the kiosk and was also doing the call-outs, this lady was marvellous and I made sure I told her this as majority of the staff there are quite ignorant, this lady was called Maria and she worked her behind off dealing with irritated customers, she was lovely. I think Maria deserved the wages of 3 people seeing that she was doing 3 jobs.
