Typical town pub. Nice polite staff you must like metal rock music reasonable prices for drinks. Not bad
If you want a pub playing rock music in York this is your place. We spent a good while here. It's a nice place to sit and drink whilst listening to the music. They also play films on the TV for a bit of background viewing. Sinister was on when we visited.
Great alternative bar playing mainly rock music. Interesting characters and friendly bar staff. Recommended if you like a laid back break from the norm
Atmosphere is ok for covid times but not having bitter is shameful
Just a nice friendly bar, I certainly liked the way the old paintings are there to see, even though it was a little bit worn.
Nice little Boozer in York had Rock music playing which is always a bonus
Great rock bar catering for the alternative well worth a visit if your coming to York.

After a horrid experience in a previous rock bar we decided to call in here, our Hope's wasnt very high but I was highly surprised! Lovely staff lovely customers, nice clean and friendly pub with fairly priced drinks! Even have a pinball machine which brought us great fun! Would call here again if I ever revisit York
