Came here on a field trip, staff was very helpful, exhibits are very interactive. Wish I could show photos or videos of the inside but they don't allow it.nGift shop is also nice there is also a canteen with some hot drinks and ice cream. Overall would recommend.nClose to astro-park with great views. Handicap parking is available. Sensory room and bags are also available.
Can't recommend this place enough. The little preschool show about the planets was so cute and both my kids loved it and laughed their heads off. It's a fun and educational place for kids and adults alike. The robot exhibition was brilliant and our 6 year old loved doing the activity, finding all the symbols on the robots. The staff were lovely and friendly. Such a great place for kids and space fans
A great place to spend a couple of hours with the kids. The staff are well-informed, friendly and helpful. There are loads of interactive activities to do outside of the dome shows but, if you want to take smaller children to a projection, they have special shows for them. We saw Our Wee Planets which was so much fun. The kids could interact and didn't need to sit completely still. Highly recommend!
Great day out for all the family. The Armagh Observatory is a fascinating destination that combines rich history with cutting-edge science. Situated in a beautiful Georgian setting, this observatory offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the wonders of the universe. The staff are exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate, providing engaging tours and insightful information about astronomy and the observatory's significant contributions to the field. The interactive exhibits and historical displays make it a great visit for both adults and children. Whether you're a seasoned astronomer or simply curious about the stars, the Armagh Observatory is a must-visit attraction that will leave you inspired and enlightened.
Visited recently for Mission Santa which was excellent. Lots for the kids to do before the show, show itself was excellent with lots of energy by the team behind it. Santa himself was very good with the kids and took his time which was lovely. Beautiful photo was a bonus. Highly recommended.
