I purchased a laptop from this store which was faulty and had already been sent away for one repair. I attempted to return it and was referred to Colette who refused to refund me. She wanted to send the laptop away for a 2nd repair which I was unhappy about as I had only had the product a couple of months. She was rude and kept disappearing into the back of the shop. I became increasingly annoyed and embarrassed and after speaking to Toshiba on the stores telephone they said a refund was at the managers discretion. She still refused to refund me so I stood my ground until the other store manager agreed to refund the purchase price. I shouldn't have had to fight for my rights. This woman should not be let loose on customers as she has no concept of customer service. I am sure this is not the image Argos would like people to see in store!

Bought heated curlers I had taken them out off the box because picture of the rollers not very clear. They weren't the right ones that I wanted so I replaced them back in the box but I was unable to put them back in the box without damaging the box slightly. I went to return the and the lady who I didn't get her name but did not gave a uniform on unlike the rest off the staff so I presume that she must've of been the manager . She said I will have to examine the product to which she sad had been used which they hadn't and were sealed but there was a hair in the box I explained I taken them out the box , she said no I will not refund and pushed them towards me . I said my receipt says I can return it doesn't say none refundable one & they haven't been used . I quite understand about health and hygiene but they hadn't been used . Her attitude was very very rude and she kept walking off and her colleagues we're o yes it's been used and not even looking property . I walked out decussed my situation when I went to a few shops in widnes and was told o yes you get no joy out off that Argos with her nickname Barrie really I thought very rude thought very high of her self put me of shopping in Argos I only wanted to get the correct type off rollers that would've been more money than the one that I had perchased . So I went to widnes oaks and do you no what they refunded me straight away & I bought the Wright ones I wanted . Never again will I shop in the Albert square in Widnes again . Felt like a naughty girl . Staff rubbish and very bad manners .

I went to returned a tool that broke after only being used twice and asked for a refund to be told by the manager Collette that It could only be exchanged for the same item,I told her I did not want to exchange it as I didn't want the same one and she was very rude and unprofessional and told me exchange only and to leave the store just because I wanted my money back for something that had broke.very appauled by this and only seems to be a problem in this store as my mum has also had problems with the manager being rude to her and had her in tears.i will never shop here again,absolutely shocking store.i mananged to returned it to another store with no problems what so ever,staff were friendly and helpful and refunded my money straight away.
