Probably smaller than the other store in Stafford but you'd get more from here than the other Argos store. I know it sounds like"isn't it the same Argos?". It is but if you're looking for the most variety and capability to order from the online catalogue just go here and save yourself time. As per customer service, there isn't much that can be commented on as it's a standard courteous environment. What more can you ask for?

Argos Gaolgate, Stafford - "Closed due to adverse weather conditions" 1st March - every other shop in Stafford managed to open no problem! What a bunch of snowflakes! Extremely poor customer service!

Where do I start? 12 months ago, I had an unforgettable personal experience at The Gaolgate store in Stafford. So, I now choose to visit other stores. On visiting the store with my wife to purchase a tablet, I was obviously apprehensive. Via 'click and collect', from the Lichfield store, in stock at Stafford, we approached the till, not a good first greeting, presented the reservation number, then some shopping Vouchers, (which were ignored), was asked if we needed a case for the tablet, he then finalised the transaction, without the vouchers, then mumbled, "Uh, I'll have to do a refund now", walked off, spent a few minutes fumbling about, did the refund, re-entered the sale, messed about with the vouchers, paid the balance on debit card, then collected the 2 items from the collection point. (server "Maddie", was polite). Got home, opened the box, extremely happy with the tablet, then found out that the case we were sold, didn't fit, and a very unhappy wife. So, now I have to go back again to get a refund for something I've been mis-sold. So, that's it now, I'll never visit the Gaolgate store in Stafford EVER again.

Usually very good but last time I went I waited 30 mins for something and it was wrong when they passed it to me.

A very standard Argos store. However, access with a car is difficult and requires you to pay to park, nearby. We parked in Sainsbury’s carpark which cost £1.60. Collecting heavier items would be difficult. One particular member of staff was very friendly and chatty to us while we waited for items. There was also an issue with the card payment processing on the automated collection system.
