Accrington store staff declined to exchange my faulty item still under warranty. They were adamant that it was down to the manufacturer Even though they are the retailer I bought it from. They even rang Sony whilst I was in store to try and wash their hands of me. Online chat was just as bad, although they did admit that they were totally responsible for exchange as my contract was with Argos, not Sony. Be very wary shopping here. The staff say the warranty with them is only 30 days. This isn't communicated on purchase and I suspect probably isn't legal, if at all true. Then after that time, you are in your own with the manufacturer. Disgusting service. I will never shop here again. I bought a new playstation 5 controller but I bought it from Currys. I will not give Argos any more of my business. I messaged Argos live Chat again last night. They told me to go to a different store to get it exchanged. So it seems it's not Argos wide but solely Accrington store that is refusing exchange of faulty goods. I am not the only one falling foul to this untoward practice at this store. The staff at Accrington store are bringing the Argos name into disrepute. It used to be such a good store who you could rely on to honour the consumer rights act 2015. Sadly, they are making this very difficult for many people and need bringing to task.

Just been into the Accrington store to collect an online order. The store was empty, apart from two ladies who had already been served and were sat down.nnA male member of staff who matches the description of other reviews, so I have assumed is called Adrian, emerged from the back. He asked if I had an online order to collect. I replied yes, I do and I have a barcode. I proceeded to offer my phone and he asked me the question again, have you paid online? I tried to answer yes, I have paid online but I was stopped short by his jazz hands pointing out that I should be stood at THAT side of the counter, not THIS side of the counter.nnHe then told me I would get seen better if I stand at THIS side. He then scanned the barcode and give me my item, declaring in a patronising manner what my item was, thankfully this wasn't an intimate item that I didn't mind being shared about to other customers.nnI can only thank my lucky stars that I HAD already paid, as who knows how long I would have been waiting if staff cannot see customers when in the back, and can only see them when customers stand in a specific spot on the shop floor!nnThis man made me feel so small and humiliated in front of other customers, which is something I do not appreciate. I will be avoiding this store at all costs, and I will be making an official complaint about this staff member, and judging by the other reviews, he deserves it.

I had to return my item because it was damaged, but manager was rude and customer service was also very poor, they did not listen to me and painted me like I was lying. I had to contact their head office and then they refunded us back.

Easy to park and easy to find. Never really busy so you get sorted straight away with no waiting around.

Really great experience in this Argos today. Items were ready when I got there. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly- big shout out to Shaz for all of her help
