We stayed 5 nights in the campsite, and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Firstly we would like the thank the owner Simon for being so accommodating and welcoming. We can't praise him enough. The campsite is very quiet and peaceful and right by the shore line and also pet friendly. It is also sheltered from any strong winds. Local facilities are short walk away, with a good shop and a great local cafe and pub. Lots of local walks to do with plenty of historic sites close by. thanks to the owner Simon that during our stay we watched Otters on the shore line and also feeding in the water. We also spotted a golden Eagle close by and lots of seals and seal pups on the islands in the loch. WiFi is available on site if required. We wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back to this site when next in the area.
Beautiful site, peace and quiet - brilliant shower. What a view to see as you wash up! Thank you Simon for your assistance. One negative was the local pub, The Galley of Lorne - the most soul-less, fake atmosphere - not to be recommended!
Absolutely beautiful spot with fabulous views. We visited in November and it was extremely quiet, the only noise was a bit of wind which we were very well sheltered from. Spotless facilities and extremely well maintained grounds. Simon, the owner went absolutely above and beyond, when I accidentally put a bag of our washing in the general waste bin. I only realised once we were back home. I found Simon’s contact information on the website and phoned him. He couldn’t have been any more understanding or helpful. He retrieved the washing, washed, dried and posted it back, and wouldn’t accept anything to cover his fuel, postage and packaging costs. Our sincerest thanks! We are overwhelmed by Simon’s kindness and will definitely be staying at the site next time we’re in the area. I’ve attached a photo but it was taken in low light, so it doesn’t do the site justice.
