Popped in yesterday for 3 small cod and chips and spot of tea. Very friendly, welcoming staff. The fish is the best I've had in a long, long time. Highly recommended.

Frustration. Disappointment and an overwhelming feeling that this whole Internet engagement thing is a con.
The advertised hours of their being open is incorrect. I've been twice, before their 'advertised' closing time and both times they've been shut. They even have the audacity to hang a "Sorry we're closed" sign on their door - just above the tacky opening hours notice on the front door.
It beggars belief that in this-day-and-age, business owners can treat their customers so badly.
I, for one (and therefore my family) will NEVER go there again. It would probably be a waste of time - they're not open when they say they should be.
ps. I wouldn't have given this place any star rating except Google insisted. Customer service? Whassat?

Popped in on our way home after visiting the Lake District. Was going to sit in the restaurant but it was packed full of the local Brownies. Seems like it's a family run business and many locals were ordering here. Ordered a small cod and chips and a smokie and chips. Food was top notch!
