Fair and factual review. Will leave personal opinion out. Salesman pleasant enough. Usual sales pitch multiple price change, promotion talk, phone calls to manager to get better price etc. Quote for composite front door, modern design £4000. After 20ish minutes reduced to £2000. Price only available if agreed there and then. Always good to have a price comparison on any work being done so declined for that reason. Later discovered purely by chance Exact same front door identical in colour, design, brand and even the same product promotional photos sold by B&q for £1200.
Quick update have just reported them to Has anyone else noticed that some 5star reviews for this company are blatantly false. In a minute or two I have found several reviewers putting 5 star reviews for this company using the same review work for word for 3 different branches of this company. Avoid these cowboys if they need to do this then what does this tell you about this company. If your van drivers are also your fitters then I will never use your company. I have just had one of your vans pull out on me twice in a few minutes. Try telling your driver's that when they approach a double dashed line in the road that means"they have to give way" and that by law I had right of way and pulling out once is bad mannered but pulling out twice and causing me to slam on my breaks is just ignorant. Cowboys gone into receivership now what a pity
A cold caller from "apple home improvements" knocked on the door not sure whether he was from the Southampton firm or one of the others. Seemed very pleasant and Apple stock/fit the product and colour I happened to be looking for so he arranged for a salesperson to come back the following day to measure up and provide a quote for cladding. The next day the salesman was most insistent on trying to come into my house to tell me about Apple and the products they sell before he'd even measured up. I explained that I knew the product / colour I wanted and would like a quote for that fitted please. The salesman said "I have a process I need to follow" and then dismissed himself. Rang the firm to clarify what had happened and the manager said the staff don't get paid unless they follow "the process" see other reviews for this. Seems a bit unethical to me. All in all a total waste of my time and theirs. If you know what you want and don't have a lot of time on your hands AVOID.
This nasty greedy company preyed on my vulnerable and confused father in Totton, persuading him to pay vastly inflated prices for the most basic of work. Despite instructions to leave him alone, which their sales person agreed to, they then went round to him again a month before they said they could do the job without our knowledge and installed a back door and porch in less than a day and took away his cheque before we had a chance to react . Cost?? £5000!!! AND they tried to get him to take out a finance package he didn;t need that cost a further £1650. The work could have been done locally for £1500 but they told him to trust no-one else so he thought he was getting the best money could buy. Let me tell you folks it is just the same uPVC fitted to the same standard but at 3 times the costs. Go to Checkatrade and use a local fitter with good reviews. I hope to take Apple Home Improvement to local media. It is disgusting
Product is passable, however the fitters were very professional I believe they're sub-contractors and the fitters' after sales service is a lot more professional than their sales people's. I advise you use a false phone number if you buy here as you will be bombarded with nuisance phone calls forever afterwards. Despite numerous requests to cease, and two complaints to the TPS, they still persist in phoning me up trying to sell me more kit more than two years after my initial purchase.
Don't waste your time with this lot. Sent round a sleepy salesman who barely said a word, apart from to his daughter on the phone while working out his figures. Then quoted £4,400 for a single front door, and then instantly dropped it to £2950. Yes for a single front door. We told him it was ridiculous and he offered us finance. We asked him to leave.
Apple Windows did a fantastic job for me. Would not hesitate to recommend them to any friends looking for double glazing. I used the buy one get one free offer on my windows, which was great value. Friendly team too.
If I could 0 stars I would - initially I invited them round to my house for a quote, they didn't bother turning up, apologising or even replying to my email. Now they call me on a regular basis even though they can't be bothered to turn for the initial meeting. They now call me every few months even though I have asked them to stop calling.
Had some work done by Apple and now they will not stop hounding me. I get repeated phone calls from them sometime twice in one day. I just cannot get them to stop harassing me.
Recently had some windows and installed and the price was great and the install went very smoothly - friendly bunch of fitters- would recommend
