Booked a taxi to Cambridge and was quoted £8 Each Way, We thought it was a great deal, Driver met us as planned put his meter on on arrival at out destination the cars meter read £19, I explained to him that we had been quoted just £8 Each way, and that is why we booked him. The driver called the control office with his telephone on loud speaker, after several moments the control answered, He repeated to the operator what i had said the operator said that i was trying to pull a fast one, i didn't appreciate being labeled a liar. I agreed with the very pleasant driver to pay £15, but cancelled the return Journey, I did find a more honest taxi for our return Journey. The whole experience put a shadow on what should have been a fantastic 94th Birthday Party

Got told that Stroud was to far for them to take me down the road....to the station (a 25 minute walk from home!) sadly they do not know my situation, appalled! Maybe you state not a Stroud service !
