Worst experience I have faced. The staffs are not trained well in the office. Apparently at some point they even did not answer the calls right after the phone line got cut. The so called manager only comes 2 or 3 days to the gym. I had a dispute recently, regarding an extra payment which went through after my contract had finished. I have been chasing them for 20 days now. Its like a ball passing game, one blames the other. Manager is very rude and very unprofessional. I gave my number numerous times to the staff members for the manager to contact back but not a single call from him. He signs off his emails and underneath puts his mobile number but its a fake one. ANYTIME Fitness, a reputed gym name with high standards having incompetent people working really upsets many people and I'm one of them. You are not giving a free service, we are paying you so its utterly your duty to look into the issues and resolve it rather than neglecting it. I will never use this Gym or any ANYTIME Fitness in future. Highly disappointed.
Disgusted that they keep bombarding me with emails and requesting money off of me. I requested to cancel due my cooling off period but they simply will NOT leave me alone. I DO NOT recommend this gym what so ever. The facilities are rubbish. There isn’t enough equipment In the gym. The sun bed never seemed to work. Stop pestering me!
The individual bathrooms could do with a refresh, I've not seen them dirty yet, they're just tiered, as is the case in lots of gyms as they are used so frequently and it's a significant impact to the members if you take any out of action to have them refitted; especially when you're a 24 hour business. There's to be a good range of equipment so people don't appear to be waiting long, if at all. The resistance kit appears more popular than cardio, but again that could just be at the times I'm attending. I recently noticed a sign saying that any Tuesday you can take along a friend for free, I'm not sure what all other gyms do now for free passes, but the 5/6 that I've been a member of in the past were more limiting than this on bring guests. Overall would recommend.
It wasn't bad but compared to the other anytime gyms it wasn't as good. Dumbbells go up to 50kg, they have decent machines, it's well spaced out. People are friendly there, bathroom and changing rooms as always are very good. My only criticism is that it's not as clean as it could be.
Been going to this gym for 2 years. Good friendly bunch, top notch machines and equipment. Always someone to help if you are unsure of anything. Good showers and changing rooms. Even hair dryers and ghd straighteners.
Cancellation policy is a joke. Would have 're signed later this year. Guess pure gym will have my business now and to the response from anytime fitness maybe you should change your policy... I will never recommend anyone to sign up to your gyms
Poor staff and management. Contracts not explained and rushed to sign. Equipment good but lacks what other gyms have and mostly just lots of the same machine not much innovation. Expensive for the machinery.
Its a trap. First of all there is very highly unlikely you can get a hold of someone to talk over the phone. I tried them number of times and got no luck. I have taken a year membership and wanted to cancel it as situation changes and I moved a home to Manchester in 6th month, now there is no closeby Fitness center to my location the nearest is 6 mile ... and I dont which to continue as another 20-30 min one way drive was not possible for me . Finally emailed them for cancellation with one month advance in the 11th month. No reply from Anytime Fitness and still chasing them to clear my direct debit... Really poor service
I have the same problem as loads of other people have. The gym itself it useless between 4pm-8pm. It’s a tiny area they have, and although there are “gym rules” everyone is always banging the weights, they are loud or stopping the equipment by playing on their phones. But I was like okay, it was my fault, I thought it’s gonna be better it isn’t, whatever. BUT when you wanna leave, you have to give them 1 month notice, and if you’re even late with just 1 day, you have to pay that extra MONTH. You also have to send a letter through post office in the 21th century, pigeons would be better seriously what’s next what they just “didn’t get”... soooo you have to prove that you sent the letter and they are not even helpful, they told us, they will charge us extra “administration fee” if we don’t pay?! Seriously?! I have payed the membership properly for 1 year, and that’s what I got when I’d like to leave in a polite manner. So thank you for wasting my time and money.
I would like to warn everyone who’s planning to cancel Gym membeship, they made it difficult as possible and charge extra month if you don’t keep the 1 month notice. And only postage cancellation accepted plus you have to keep the postage receipt to proove that you’ve sent it because they’ll just say they haven’t received it.
