Myself and my mother were in Calne for a family occasion for two nights and were looking for somewhere to eat on our first night quite late in the evening. This lovely restaurant was just next door to where we were staying and we were made to feel very welcome despite it being quite late. We enjoyed it so much we booked a table for the following evening as well. The staff were friendly and the service wonderful. The food was authentic, fresh and served beautifully. Proper Italian food and service, and the restaurant is also well decorated, clean and inviting. We will definitely be back the next time we are visiting Calne.
I cannot recommend Antica Roma highly enough!nnThis is my third time of visiting here regrettably over a fairly long period but they are consistent in every way.nnService is excellent, not too quick and not too slow, very friendly and welcoming.nnThe menu is excellent with something for everyone, cooked to perfection and competitively priced.nnThe restaurant itself has a great atmosphere - very relaxing, the music is at just the right level so you can easily have a conversation without being distracted! The decor is traditional and tasteful.nnA truly lovely restaurant, would return here in an instant.nnThank you Antica Roma!
We had a lovely dinner here with friends.nGreat food but not too many vegetarian mains options but we had Four Cheese Pizza and Spinach & Ricotta Cannelloni and both dishes were lovely and plentiful.nOur friend has ‘Pollo Dolce Latte’ and she said ‘it was excellent and very tasty’.nAttentive service and a buzz with lots of laughs and fun, quite busy so be sure to book, we will come back very soon.nThank you. Went here for a Birthday meal,it was very enjoyable from start to finish,the food was delicious all cooked to perfection in the authentic Italian style.The menu had a lot to choose from with a very wide variety of lovely dishes.All the staff we’re very nice and made you all feel welcome.With a nice friendly relaxed atmosphere,it was very busy as it has become a very popular restaurant in the town of Calne in Wiltshire.will definitely go back to sample some more of this lovey Italian food.I can highly recommend this restaurant,booking is essential..... We visited here again for another Birthday meal on the 07/06/24 again it was first class Italian food with excellent service delivered by the lovely staff....
First time ordering from Antica Roma.. and all I can say is wow! Absolutely fantastic staff, very welcoming and accommodating, the restaurant is very well furnished with a warm wood setting throughout.. the food was amazing!! I ordered a vast amount of pizza and pasta and I can say it was thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you to the staff for the warm welcome and the delicious food! I will definitely be back in the near future. If you haven't tried food from Antica Roma yet.. you're missing out on an amazing experience!
