Visited here to buy a gift voucher for a friend who loves fishing. On entering my initial reaction was WOW, it's incredible!nnSituated in a former church the place is a temple to all kinds of angling. Everything needed for fishing can be found here, from all sorts of tackle and bait.nnThe staff were very helpful in recommending an appropriate gift card, and were giving advice to other customers.
OK... but for some reason I thought there would be more gear out on display? Also many items with no prices on them, ended up checking the prices on my phone, I seem to remember it being a bit better the last time I was here, perhaps its just me. its been a long time since I walked into a tackle shop and walk out without buying anything... maybe I was ill LOL
I can't thank the staff enough today John & Julie who helped my fella out this evening with him buying god knows what in finishing stuff of course going though long listed he had and waiting for payment to go thought as well which was nightmare in its self ‍ but again waited for us being very helpful I think their should be more staff on as it got busy in the shop too definitely go above beyond for customer's. Thank you again to the staff today
Snapped a pole section so rang angling direct wigan this morning. After discussing wait times etc..and reasons behind this I put my order in with Paul and expected a non avoidable wait.nWas then rang back at teatime to be pleasantly surprised he had managed to source one and was ready same day.nProfessional,polite, amazing customer 1st service. Won't use anyone else from now on. 5 star. Would be 6 if could give it
Got to give a shout out the team at Wigan Angling Direct in Hindley. I’ve been in a few times and chatted with Jake who was really helpful and gone away each time with a little more knowledge.nnAnd then yesterday the whole team were amazing, offering me advice and recommendations, when I was in for a few hours deciding which kit I was actually going to buy.nnI’m all set up now!!!nnBring on the fishing
