Wonderful people and food! I would make this restaurant a stop if you are nearby. The service was great and the food delicious. We were staying nearby and hungry and didn't have reservations but they put us in the bar area and it was great. All the people in the bar were friendly and the manager was too
First time in the Anglers Rest, and I wasn't disappointed. I had sea bass, which was excellent. Service was quick, and the waitress was very friendly and hospitable. Meal service was fast, and the sea bass was cooked to perfection. We will diffently return.Food: 5/5
I passed here so many times and always said I must call in. I'm so glad my friends and I called in this time. Staff were lovely and the food was yummy. Sunday fixed menu with the option of 1,2, or 3 courses. There was soup of the day and smoked salmon with atlantic prawns, as well as some more starters to pick from. Sadly, there was no smoked salmon on this visit, so I just had prawns. Followed by Turkey and Ham dinner, there was also roast beef, Seabass plus steak at a supplement. There were about 4 different desserts, 1 being cheesecake and 1 pavlova. I didn't have dessert this time, but I had a coffee. No Americano, but very strong filter coffee in a small coffee pot. My friends enjoyed their desserts as they had eaten them in the blink of an eye.
Very friendly, quick service. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Lots of parking. Parking: To the side and behind, disabled parking to the side.
