Easy to reach from the car park. Staff are friendly and helpful. The shop is well stocked and bargains can be found in the plant centre. Toilets are clean but often busy. The food is tasty and well priced but finding a seat can be tough on busy days. Well worth joining the National Trust as there are plenty of places to visit. Highly recommended.

A great day out but, don't go during the school holidays unless you want a lot of children around you. There is a really good quiz for children as they go round the house, and some areas for your own picnics. We noticed a trail of dry mud on the carpets which somebody had brought in with them and staff had not swept up. In other National Trust houses you put blue slipper shoes over your outdoor shoes - a thought? We didn't see any signage to a restaurant and didn't find one either. The walks are very good and interesting. Do pick up a guide to the plants though because they are numbered so you need the guide for their names. Parking is good and free, and there are a good number of disabled spaces. The visitors centre is excellent, although, as usual and so annoyingly, prices in the shop are ridiculously high. If you have a family with you it will be expensive. Bathroom facilities are okay but I wonder how often they are checked and cleaned during the day? Worth looking at please. All in all a good day out. Watch your timing too if coming along the A14 ... the roadworks are giving over to mega queuing.

Great Cafe with a good choice of food. Seating is inside, or outside in good weather. There is a shop and a gsrden/plant section. Toilet facilities are good, but can sometimes be busy. You do not need to pay entry to visit the Cafe and shop.

This is a place you can easily spend the whole day, out just a few hours. The kids will love to run around too, and there is a decent sized cafe/restaurant for when you fancy a treat. The mill is worth visiting for its history and the winter walk offers some amazing colours.

Great gardens which change with the seasons. The grounds are good for wheelchairs, they have wheelchairs and scooters to use but at busy times its best to ring and book one. The house is not wheelchair friendly but can go into servants quarters. The house is lovely and has a cosy feel. It has a cafe/ restaurant in the main lobby.
