My wife, my 18 year old son and I had one of the best tours of our life this past summer with Andrew Sharpe. We like to travel, and have done group tours or a day guide. Traveling with Andrew was great. He spent time talking with us about what we want to see and do for the 6 days we were going to travel through the highlands of Scotland. He built a custom itinerary that very much met our needs. As we traveled he told us about the history, geology and culture of areas we drove through. He suggested a few detours/stops at places not on our itinerary such as Rob Roy's grave (very cool). He managed to find us affordable, clean, comfortable B&B's (we wanted to spend money traveling and on food not on sleeping). He also gave us good local restaurant ideas near where we were staying. I hope to go back to Scotland to see the Orkney's or the Outer Hebrides. If so, I plan to engage Andrew again to get the most out of our time. (BTW: he has some great stories - even I am not sure I believe all of them :-) )

This is a review I posted in September via another website. We booked Andrew for a 13 day drive around Scotland. We burdened him with too much luggage and my mother in law's mobility issues. All taken in stride by this fine gentleman. You are simply not going to find a more knowledgeable person in Scottish history, politics, and a true love of his country. This was an educational trip for us and he artfully steered us away from the tourist traps making our trip personal and unforgettable. Thank you Andy, we won't forget you and hope to be able to book again for our tour of the isles.

My 3 sisters and I (all senior ladies) spent 12 glorious days on tour with Andy. He picked us up at our hotel in Edinburgh and the first task we had for him was to track down my sister’s credit card. Andy gallantly accepted the challenge and miraculously retrieved her card. We travelled the path of The Outlander and beyond. We visited majestic castles to ancient burial sites. We hiked on Lewis/Harris, Skye, Mull and rode the Jacobite steam train. After 12 days with Andy we felt like he belonged to the family and were sad when he left us at the hotel. Andy made our trip so exciting. We could stop when necessary, and that was often, delete or add sites to the itinerary at the last minute to make the trip truly our own experience. Thanks, Andy

We were a group of four ladies who truly enjoyed our 12 day tour of Scotland with Andy. Each of us had different ideas of what we wanted to experience, and Andy managed to do just about everything we had on our list. He was very gracious, enjoyable, fun, personable, accommodating, punctual and organized. We hiked through stunningly beautiful scenery, visited modern and ancient sites, toured castles, enjoyed beautiful gardens, visited Outlander settings, learned about Scottish history, culture, and much more. Because of Andy, it was truly a wonderful trip.

My family and I were blessed to have taken this amazing tour with Andrew. He made history come alive for us. We expressly asked for mostly history with a little Outlander thrown in and he delivered beyond my expectations. I am very selective and quite a stickler for facts. I kept him on his toes with questions and he never failed to deliver. I would highly recommend his services and I am looking forward to our next tour hopefully in the near future. Sincerely, Bobbi Al-Yousuf
