Excellent experience, was given a lovely coffee, the music wasn't too loud, the water not too hot nor too cold, just right, and the stylist asked if it was okay. Place was lovely and clean. Great shampoo and conditioner and nice ambience in the salon. I've been going to Andrew Collinge for a long time so I knew it would be great anyway. I recommend Andrew Collinge salons to everyone. Besides all this, the trainees are trained well and always have cut and cloloured my hair just right. Excellent place and excellent staff and I love the way they cut my hair, it's the only place I trust to cut my hair the way I want it. I always leave feeling happy and positive.  Stylist: Sophie was excellent from start to finish, she gave me a great head massage when putting the conditioner in my hair, was gentle when combing or brushing my hair which I appreciated because I am head sore and always hope that the stylist will go easy when doing my hair. I have to stand to get my long hair cut, Sophie was kind enough to ask me if I wanted to sit down for a minute which I appreciated too. She gave me a great trim and my visit today was an overall great experience. Thank you Sophie.

First time having a colour here. I don’t get my hair done allot so this was a treat for me and I had saved up money to be able to get this done. Everyone was lovely and I enjoy my time there however I left the salon with nearly the same colour as I entered. I expressed at the start how I wanted to be considerably lighter and much blonder to match my extensions and get rid of my dull tone. I left feeling really disheartened and just upset as I had saved money for a few months to get this done and my hair just really looked the same. I’m not one to complain as it makes me feel awkward  but as I was so upset I mentioned to the hairdresser  how I thought the end result was going to be lighter? I was told I could come back and get a full head of highlights with thicker sections to achieve a better result but I simply can’t afford to come back and pay another £120+. I put my extensions back in my hair when I got home and they did not match the colour as I suspected, so I can’t wear them which was the main reason I went to get my hair done so I could wear my extensions again. The whole experience left me feeling so dissatisfied, upset, and like I have wasted my money.   Unfortunately I don’t think I would return again for a colour treatment.

Emily from Wigan was not only lovely and very personable, she is very professional and did an excellent blow dry. She understood all my queries and concerns regarding keeping my pink colour, she explained what she would do and why, and did a great job. She offered advice on maintaining colour and products to use. The blow dry was very good and wasn’t over loaded with product nor was it greasy like it sometimes it can be. She is a credit to the salon, I hope she does well in her future training as she deserves it!

Currently looking to buy extensions after a really disappointing visit to the salon, I did explain that it takes a really long time for my hair to grow and I was only after a trim and getting rid of some dead ends. We agreed on about an inch which I was happy with but I've walked away with this "bouncy blow", for reference the picture was taken about 20 mins after I left the salon. I was in utter shock when I saw the finished result and did not know whether I was being dramatic with how upset I was but after showing friends they were absolutely appalled. I have been refunded but it does not come close to her cost of the hair extensions I'm looking to buy. The before photo was my most recent pic taken about a week before this is the longest I had managed to grow my hair in about 10 years.

Amazing hair cut by Tom! Highly recommend. I arrived earlier and he took me earlier as well and took his time to do my hair. I liked the results so much!

First visit to the salon, and very pleased with the cut that I received. Couldn’t be more delighted.  Overall impression of Collinge & Co? Friendly, welcoming, professional. And very good at what they do. Will definitely be returning.

Had a very poor experience here several months ago. The hair wash and massage was great and the staff so friendly but the experience with the girl that cut my hair was very poor and means I would not risk visiting the graduate salon again. She was rude, asked me what I wanted done with my hair, when I told her what I always tell hairdressers she told me no, that wouldn't work and wouldn't look good, and said she can do something different so I shrugged and said okay. She didn't cut my hair to my desired length, gave me no layers, and gave me overall an extremely flat and disappointing haircut, no shape and no layers. At least the price is fine but seriously off-putting from the get go which is a shame with this being my local salon, was hoping to find my regular after moving here but this is not the service expected from any level of hair stylist
