My laptop smashed so went to use a computer and print a few things, everything is fresh and clean, staff that I spoke to were friendly and good layout. About 10 computers, was pretty quite when I went, one other person using a computer.
I just love the librarians here. They often have books they have seen and thought of me or my daughter and then recommended them to us when we next dropped in. I had a crying baby this morning and they kindly brought to me the books I was looking for and even offered to find me a room to feed my baby. I have lived in many places and these are definitely the most dedicated librarians I have ever come across.
I popped in today to print something out. All the staff was absolutely fantastic! Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The library itself looks great, too. Worth the wait! :
My wife was trying to find an autobiography for an 8 year old boy. After spending ages in a local bookshop to no avail the librarian here Alice found her 3 great options very promptly. Thank you so much.
Half and half, really describes this library in the heart of Amersham. Their book stock is good, they often have lots of brand-new paperbacks in. Travel section is poor, should be a comprehensive A to Z of travel publications, sadly lacking. The staff are either very nice or not nice at all. There are some really lovely ladies in there, who are polite, warm and courteous, and then the other lot who are just plain rude and sneering. However, I've witnessed staff members Linda and Birgitt as unfriendly, unhelpful and cold, bordering on rude. The library does not have a drop-box for you to return your books out of hours, which would be a bonus. This library leaves a lot to be desired!
Very tidy and organised Library with a wide selection of books. Also has a study area, perfect for getting work done!
