Stopped here for dinner on the way through. The grounds are beautiful, in a beautiful area. The staff were incredibly friendly, very attentive and the food was impeccable. Handled my allergy very well, felt relaxed and comfortable in the restaurant. The rest of the building looked amazing. It was definitely a wonderful place to have visited and I wish to be able to return in the future.
Birthday celebrations with family and friends - superb from Start to finish. Beautiful setting and rooms - our stay exceeded our expectations. All staff so friendly and attentive nothing was too much trouble. We felt very welcome and special. Thank you for making a memorable stay very special. We will be back Rooms: 5/5
After the recommendation of a work colleague we decided to visit Amberley castle for dinner yesterday evening. We got married yesterday afternoon so we were looking forward to having an intimate dinner with the in laws. The grounds are stunning and the castle feels magical, we turned up a bit earlier to have a look around and will definitely visit again to see some more. Grounds are perfectly maintained and very well looked after, absolutely stunning inside and out. Food was good and well presented, service was professional and staff were generally okay, however I did think that some of them could have been more friendly and welcoming at times or simply to smile a bit more. Which is a shame, as unfortunately it took away from the experience a bit. We were served by different members of staff on multiple occasions. The service would have been more seamless if we had one or two waiters/waitresses maximum looking after our table and it would have been nice if they had introduced themselves to us in the beginning. Judd, however, was incredible. They were so attentive, polite, genuinely friendly and so soft spoken. Delivered a great service in such an elegant manner and with a warm personality. I genuinely felt they care about our experience and always delivered the service with a smile. And we only had small interactions with them and yet managed to leave such a good impression. If all staff were more like him this place would be perfect and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again as soon as possible. Amberley Castle is very lucky to have them, so please let them know what an incredible job they’re doing. Quite pricey but of course it’s because of the service provided and the location. Generally a positive experience, we will potentially be back later on in the year. Food & drinks: Well presented Great selection of wines by the bottle but fewer by the glass
Absolutely beautiful location. We visited for a full afternoon tea which was one of the best I've had. So many extras which made it a feast! Great service and the castle itself is incredible and so Christmassy! Definitely worth a visit.Rooms: 5/5
For the first time at the castle, lovely to go for a relaxed walk around and in the village. Loads of history inside for the people interested, the premises are well looked after and the castle appears to be well maintained. Keen to return when it gets warmer and nature is in full display.Service: 5/5
This afternoon four friends and I enjoyed a fabulous Afternoon Tea at Amberley Castle. The setting is so beautiful, the staff very pleasant and obliging, and the food was delicious. Can't wait for another special occasion to celebrate there! Very highly recommended.Service: 4/5
Everything about our stay at Amberley Castle was perfect - from checkin to the room to the staff to the food. It was one of the most enjoyable hotel experiences that I have ever had, and left me nothing short of inspired by the level of customer service and attention to detail. Special thanks to Dean and the South African gentleman whose name I unfortunately did not catch in particular for looking after us.
A truly delightful afternoon with very welcoming staff. The food and service was excellent, and the location is fantastic. The room's are clean, tidy, and very well equipped, offering a very pleasant stay in a unique location. I highly recommend a visit. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a memorable one.
Very friendly staff. I would give it 2 or 3 stars but decided for 2 given how much it costs. Do. not get me wrong, it is a nice place but it should be spectacular, in my opinion, at this rate. The castle itself is pretty but the room we stayed in standard was pretty average. We also had neighbours banging on the floor because we were chatting at 11pm. Overall disappointed with our stay there, and would not go back. If rooms were half the price, we would have probably given it a 4* review. It s all about setting expectations.
Perfect for a special occasion. Staff were so attentive, helpful and welcoming. Food was fabulous and beautifully presented. Room had everything you need, including a Dyson hairdryer and a lovely range of toiletries. Bed was so comfy, wish we had booked for more than one night !
