We stopped here with the kids, on our way back from Walby Farm Park. Thanks to the reviews, we were not disappointed. We arrived as a family of six shortly after the restaurant opened. We found it surprisingly full, which was a good sign, but the staff still managed to find us a table. Food and service were spot on. Pizza and pasta were delicious and the seabas special was phenomenal. A huge thank you for the crew for their outstanding service.

Really good food. We ordered the bruschetta and enjoyed every bite, very peppery. I had the pepperoni pizza and asked them to make it extra crispy and each bite was very delicous, the pepperoni was even slightly spicy. My wife had the spicy meatball spaghetti and she really enjoyed it, she thought it was cooked very well. The staff are nice. Toilets are clean and well maintained. Restaurant is well lit and clean. Seriously though, the pizza is some of the best I have had in all of the U.K., I think bath has the 2nd best now! Seriously some and eat here.

This Scilian restaurant is absolutely worth a visit, the food was delicious, probably the best risotto I've had in years, it was chicken, pancetta and pea. The staff were well dressed and were willing to have a chat about the menu. They were all very friendly and extremely helpful and efficient. Will definitely be back when we next visit Carlisle.

Extremely lovely place, full of ambiance and lovely staff, it's an open kitchen which I love to see...food was great, cooked well , Saturday afternoon meal just popped in no reservation, got a table, very nice indeed 5 stars

We dine here quite regularly. The food is authentically Italian and absolutely delicious. Their pizza and pasta is the best I have tasted outside of Italy. We love the fact it is on our doorstep. Their desserts and puddings are fabulous too. Very friendly and helpful. If you like culture and historical things you have Tullie House Museum and the old Quarter of Carlisle right there too. The family are from Sicily so I have attached a couple of photos showing info regarding Sicily which is displayed in the restaurant. Buon appetito!

Love coming to Amato's such a great choice on the menu and always delicious. Staff are always very helpful and attentive. Missed the bread basket this time though, the olive oil bread was amazing.Food: 5/5

Really good atmosphere. Friendly welcome. Staff very hard working and efficient. Food made to order but not a long wait due to the skills of the chefs. We had a table near to the open kitchen last time we visited and were mesmerised by the way they work. Spotlessly clean throughout. Lovely appetising menu. Generous portions. Sensible reasonable prices. We really enjoy having lunch there.
