We spent my birthday here on August 8th 2022 at 9:30. Edward F. Is such a nice guy providing us with considerate service even if we were just looking for after dinner desserts. We ate our birthday cake and enjoyed their delicious desserts here and we really had a great time. I really love the decorations and the general atmosphere of this restaurant. Will definitely visit again to have full meals here. I look forward to tasting their main courses.
Food was excellent and the service staff were really friendly! It’s a great little venue with a great atmosphere! My husband and I arrived without a reservation on a Friday evening and the staff did a great job to find us a spot at the restaurant . We had two courses with cocktail, glass of wine and the prices were reasonable, especially for in the vicinity of Edinburgh ! Would definitely recommend!
Lovely food, great atmosphere and excellent service. A little pricey but not out of the ordinary for the location and to be honest the fillet steak was exquisite. Colleagues had no complaints about the pizza or chicken dishes they had either. Staff were attentive and service was quick. Definitely one of my go to places when working in Edinburgh. Even on a Tuesday if you don't want one of the stool seating areas I would suggest booking in advance though as it's popular.
The service was very friendly. The food was delicious. I had the gluten free Bruschetta for starter. Then a Gluten free veganas I am lactose intolerant pizza and chose some chicken to go on top. Then dome mixed sorbet for desert. Everything was very well presented. What surprised me was that even though it was very busy and a very large grand space that my wife and I could easily hear each other across the room. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza and pasta options and dairyfree/vegan mozzarella options available too.
Exceptional dining experience The staff were engaging and funny. The food was served well presented and with plenty of tiem between each course. The drinks were lovely and the menu had numerous choices. Whether it be for a family meal or a romantic dinner, Amarone is the place to be. Special credit given to our waitresses who sadly I didn't get their names but one was Spanish and the other had plaited pigtails. Bravo!
Beautiful venue, most of the food was good, pizza was a little overcooked, staff were friendly but the overall experience was disappointing. We were waiting at the door without being acknowledged for 4 minutes or so and then the host disappeared for a further 7 minutes until one of the servers took pity on us and went to chase up what was happening with our booking and got us to our table. By which point a large queue had formed and people were waiting in the cold despite lots of empty tables. Staffing issues are understandable but this seemed like poor management. The non refundable deposit is cheeky, I strongly believe card details should be taken and no shows should be charged but during these challenging times being offered to reuse the credit at a later date isn't really an adequate solution when a large number of the guests are tourists.
Delicious! The food came out extremely fast. The drinks were very tasty. We ordered a pizza, it has a nice thin crust that was perfectly crispy on the bottom. Our server was super friendly. The ambiance was super great, the music wasn't too loud.Food: 5/5
Popped in for a lunch for my friend's birthday and it was wonderful. The food was amazing and the staff made her feel so special for her birthday. Thank you so much! Will definitely be coming again! Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian options on the menu.
Very nice Italian place. Staff are friendly and multiple are on hand to help with a quick response. The food is overall very good. Bruschetta is the best I've had , highly recommended starter. The tortellini was cooked well and overall very tasty , though id suggest to remove the crispy onions as they don't go particularly well with the texture of the dish being super critical!. If you're looking for a nice Italian restaurant in Edinburgh this is where to go. Good seating very clean and reasonably priced. 5 star :
We were lucky to get a table without a booking. Very lively restaurant, busy, with good service, it feels like a great place to be. If you love prawns, give the starter Gamberoni Diavola a try, it was absolutely delicious!
