Great place to go with young children, there are two play parks, one for under 8s and one for over. The larger park has 3 massive slides which younger and older kids can go down, there's also 2 zip lines, multiple smaller slides, large rocks to climb, climbing frames etc. Parking is £1 an hour. Also you have the added benefit of being able to grab a coffee from coffee cup which is great for parents. Coffee cup gives a free baby Chino to kids with any hot drink purchased, they also sell drinks, snacks and ice creams . there are toilets on site which is again very handy, overall a really good place to go with kids for an ice cream, run round and a coffee. Cheap afternoon out. Theres also a walking route which goes on for miles around the local area
Great play area for all ages, little ones have a separate playground. Lots of walking and cycling paths with great views. Nice little cafe with a good selection of hot and cold drinks and ice creams. Also free toilets
Really good park, fenced, good cafe.. the tunnel slides are a safety hazard I think someone without children designed them. Only one way up so if kids get scared they get stuck up the top with a queue, saw tons of kids coming out rubbing their heads and elbows! Wouldn't recommend any kids under 5 go up there. The only other tunnel slide, kids under 5 can't get up to as it's a vertical climbing wall. Again. Not designed by parents The rest is great. Restrooms: Cleanish Dog-friendliness: Outside the playground. Picnic area: Bring a blanket.
We spotted this park on the way in to Stokes Bay for a short break. After parking up the RV we drove the car back and the kids had a fun hour on the slides and climbing equipment. There's a little coffee shop for much needed hot chocolates in the winter months. Parking will set you back around £1 an hour, which considering the quality the play equipment, is pretty good.
Lovely park, great for walking the dog with various routes to suit all, good place for a run or cycle with the added bonus of an excellent play park for the kids and coffee shop by the carpark.
Beautiful and peaceful. With play parks, toilets and a lovely little Coffee shop too. Great place to cycle or walk and lovely place for a dog walk too.
Great playpark with separate playgrounds for older and younger children. Plenty to keep them occupied and lots of variety for different ability levels. Toilets were above average and helpfully located near the playgrounds. Didn't do any walks so can't comment on them. But you do have to pay for parking if travelling by car.
Lovely Park to go too, clean and tidy. Excellent equipment for kids and even adults to play on. They also have a toddlers Park next to this one. Totally recommend visiting Alver Valley Country Park. They also have a Car Park you have to pay for, £1 an hour
My kids love it, especially the 7yr old. The slides are great. There is a zip line, swings and all the other usual park stuff including toilets. Parking is £1 per hour. Looks like a cafe will hopefully be opening soon which would be the icing on the cake. Probably ideal for 4-10 Yr olds for 1-2 hours
Great play parks, suitable for all ages and plenty of different things to use. Café is handy, being right next to the car park. Parking is slightly limited but wasn't full when we were there. Didn't actually make it for a walk but I'm sure it's great!
