Since the recent reduction to 2 counters the service has significantly declined. On my last two visits there have been long queues and only one person serving. I know that it is Christmas but it must be obvious to whoever is on charge that this is a poor service. On my last visit a second woman was sitting at the desk but completely ignoring customers for a full 15 minutes. There were many complaints within the queue and I went to ask the two women at the shop part if anyone could help. They said they were WHSmith and not the post office. I then politely asked the woman at the desk who was not serving if she could do so ( now 11 people in the queue) and she said that she was about to. After a couple more tasks, rather pointedly I thought, she did finally serve customers but there were no apologies for the wait of over 20 minutes. There were old people, mothers with babies and young children and people concerned about picking up from nurseries and schools in the queue but no-one seemed to care. There were 15 people in the queue up to the door as I left.
