Alley Cafe is as great as ever. The food is ace with great specials. The staff atmosphere and drinks all help to make this a great place to hang out. Been heading to Alley Cafe for many years and I'm pleased to say that little has changed over the years . Def worth a visit.
Amazing!! I had the mango and raspberry cake..... The best thing I've ever tasted. The pesto tofu sandwich was so delicious I will definitely be coming back. Lovely staff and atmosphere too, thank you very much
Really lovely selection of food and big portions so great value! Staff are all very friendly, and interior is quirky and fun.
I debated for a long time wether to go for 3 or 4 stars on this. I'll start with the plus sides, I love inside, the vine hanging above your head, the original artworks that you can buy, the European feel of it all, the cakes and ice cream are fantastic and all vegan. Downsides: furniture is a bit old and wobbly, main menu is very bog standard vegetarian loads of falafel and in comparison to their deserts, very disappointing. Service is worryingly slow, we went on a Sunday afternoon as a table of 3, when we arrived there were about 4 or 5 other customers who had all already been served. To get 2 cakes, one bowl of ice cream, one cocktail, one smoothie and one coffee took over 20 minutes. I want to love this place because I am vegan and want to support vegan businesses but the main menu really lets this place down. Still going 4 stars though because if you aren't in a rush and just fancy desert there is no better place!
We go to alley cafe regularly and food is always exceptional. However, last time my partner's food had a funny taste so we talked to one of their staff about it. They took the food back to the kitchen, offered to make us something else but since we were in a hurry, we wouldn't have had time. They gave us a refund for his food and were generally very nice about it. My falafel was excellent as always. Excellent customer service, excellent food, keep up the good work guys! We'll be back.
Wonderful cafe with lots of tasty vegan options, the ONLY downside is that it's a small place. It makes it nice and cosy, but at peak times it can be frustrating. The food and atmosphere definitely make up for it though. And in warmer weather there is even a bit of outside seating.
Great atmosphere, could do with more seats but that's just because of how popular it is. Great food, especially considering how cheap it is! Lovely staff and just nice and chilled all round. Definitely give it a go, veggie or not!
Fantastic vegan food cooked on the hour and with fresh ingredients. The place also offers a great atmosphere, but make sure you are early or book a table otherwise you might have to wait or take out. Food takes a while to prepare, so expect to wait for it. Anyway, totally worth the wait.
This place is so hidden away down an alley hence the name! it managed to elude me for two whole years until I finally got around to tracking it down and eating here. It's a very small little set up with lots of light and plants giving it a very 'clean' feel, and serves a large variety of vegan and vegetarian foods. The sandwiches are a little expensive for what they are: a well-made vegetarian sandwhich, but on the whole the place is relaxed and welcoming. I'd recommend it for a casual lunch, definitely worth a visit even just to satisfy the healthy hippy inside of you!
Always friendly, the menu and food is always excellent and I can take Bobby dog in.
