We called Allerton removals when the company we had previously hired let us down three days before the move. They sent a van down to Herefordshire the day before the move to collect the stuff for storage, which they stored for us at very short notice, then on moving day, 2 vans arrived. They loaded us up, drove all the way to Barnard Castle and unloaded our things in the dark, without damaging a single item. They took extra care of a prized picture of mine, carrying it like a newborn baby. They were such a lovely, polite and funny bunch of guys and were cheerful throughout in spite of a very long day. Their prices were really competitive, too. We recommend them highly - it was a pleasure doing business with them and they took the stress out of a very stressful situation.

We hired Allerton Removals when we experiencing the recent bad weather (beast from the east). They were absolutely great . I phoned their office and spoke to a nice chap who explained the charges and answered all of my questions professionally (there were plenty of questions) I was instantly assured that I was dealing with a company who knew what they were doing . Despite the terrible weather they turned up on time and even provided an extra man for free , something that I never asked for but they took into account the bad weather and knew an extra pair of hands would ensure my move went smoothly . There was a slight delay in receiving the keys for my new property therefore we exceeded the daily rate by 1 hour . I had to pay an additional £58 but this cane as no shock as I was ore warned of the charges , plus had the 3rd man not been supplied for free the job could of taken longer due to the snow . We had no damage and were extremely happy with their service . Having read a couple of reviews on google I was a little concerned but once the owner answered all my questions and pointed out the many many goods reviews on the companies Facebook page I was instantly reassured . Some of the feedback were voice message recordings from previous customers !!! Overall I am very happy and would not hesitate to use Allerton Removals again and will be recommending them to friends and family . Keep up the good work guys !!!

A completely unprofessional company. We hired this company on a misguided hope that they would help to make our move easier and save us some money in the process. They did neither. The plan was to move contents from our two bedroomed house to a new three bed, however we had to break the chain, and so, put our possessions into storage. To start with, two boxes were dropped by the handlers. Then the prices started changing despite the advertised pricing on the website and the quote that we were given by the company. Some prices were almost double what they should have been. Upon asking for forms for insurance claims (just in case something was broken) we were fed a string of drivel by the owner of the company to a point where he would only allow us to hire a driver and van to unload OURSELVES into our new house. We have checked about half of the boxes and only found two broken items so far, which could simply be down to a little heavy handedness, something which we're not that bothered about. If you do insist on using this company, ensure that: • you have a full inventory of everything you transfer • the drivers sign your inventory • any drops are instantly checked and signed for by the drivers • make sure you get EVERYTHING from them in writing Worst experience ever. We'll be hiring a rental van next time.

pretty expensive as paid for delivery, but then initial charge just for collection ,and then held to ransom for twice as much on a delivery charge, as well as storage charges made it very expensive . After delivery which had to be chased down late in the day, we found missing and mixed tools, as well as damage to furniture through careless handling and forcing into onto one van.
