Something what used to be random asphalt car park alongside the historical Tiger Bay change over to summertime live music shows scene in some sort of Ibiza's style parties.nnIt's not best organized venue though - the limited space quickly become overcrowded and only same one way to get In & Out can cause lots of issues but in terms of experience it's really cool location especially for summer vibe gigs!nnBeen there last year to see The Chemical Brothers and really enjoyed!
The worst venue I have ever been to for a concert.nSecurity is basically non existent. Crowd control is horrendous. It took us an hour to even get into the venue with no guidance on queuing on the right hand side unless you’re VIP.nThe stage area itself is tiny, not high enough to be able to see the artists properly unless you’re right at the front.nToo many people crammed into what is essentially a glorified car park.nBar area has no entry/exit system so you end up clambering back through the same queues you waited in to get the overpriced drinks.nWe made our way to the exit at 9:45pm concert finished at 10:30 in anticipation that the queues would be crazy. They were. People were crammed into a bottleneck with no movement, no security, no guidance and lots of panicked people.nWe didn’t get out until 10:15. In a tiny venue.nThe acts were great but the venue is appalling.nPictures are of us trying to get out!!
We went here earlier in the week to see McFly.nnOnce you’re inside the venue, it’s actually not a bad place . Looks like they need to do a little bit more to manage to crowd control as there were some very narrow areas where lots of people crowded and you couldn’t really move. This was right down by the exit which was quite concerning really.nnActually getting to the venue is the easiest as well. Public transport is really bad and there is very limited parking nearby. You Germany would have to walk around about a mile.nnOther than that, the view is not too bad of the stage and the sound is great in the area
Basically, it's a big area of tarmac out in the bay that's a bugger to get to, and if it rains, there's zero shelter. Saw a well-known Dutch DJ here, which was great, but I'd rather shove wasps up my bum than go to this 'venue' ever again...
Ventured here for a concert last night, I will say pretty seamless entry and not a bad walk from the nearest car park 20 mins.nnSecurity and staff were all great, you've got 3 different check points including sniffer dogs.nnLots of food options available, plenty of toilets and actually loads of space to move around - didn't feel cramped at all!
