We came here for lunch after a wee walk near the Dalgety Bay. I was surprised with the size of fish for the fish and chips and it was tasty and not oily. The Spaghetti Bolognese has authentic beef in it and I loved it! The place is kid’s friendly, I’ve also seen a group of elderly people going there for some sweets gelato ice cream, sundae, etc… and I observed the staff already knew what they wanted, which means they are a regular customer. Overall, I am happy with the experience here.
Had a nice lunch and ice cream last week and full Scottish cooked breakfast today. They do smaller breakfasts as well and have lots of lovely cakes as well.
Delicious food. Decent portions. Best breakfast & paninis around. Cakes & ice cream are so good. Staff very friendly. Highly recommend
A guilty pleasure for my wife and I is to take a nice long walk every Saturday morning, completing the Moray Way loop all the way around Dalgety Bay and stopping for breakfast at Ale & Pate along the way. The café has some stunning views looking out over the Forth and across the water to Edinburgh. Friendly and accommodating staff, excellent service and delicious, freshly cooked meals to suit all tastes. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. Very affordable and well worth the visit. The smoked salmon and freshly cooked free-range eggs are simply the best. And don't forget about the absolutely amazing choice in tantalizing home made ice cream!
First visit this morning and was most taken with the cakes and the types of fresh cannelloni. A good choice of Gelato with loads of flavours. We settled for a small breakfast and we’re well satisfied. We will be back
