I'm sorry I don't know their names.nBut their is two older guys that work at this Aldi - I mean 40+ and they are incredibly happy, positive and always make me smile whenever I go in. Which is most days. I'd imagine management will know who these guys are but I'd love a big thank you to them and hope they get some kind of reward for their great service to the community.
It has been about five years since I was last in the Heanor Aldi, and the review was not good. Frozen products left ok pallets in an aisle for over 40 minutes, and mouldy food. So I was pleasantly surprised this time.nnThis branch has had a refit, and the new in-store branding, shelving, chillers, and freezers look great. I'm a fan of self service checkout being autistic, I appreciate not having to interact with a member of staff at checkout, if I don't feel like it on a given day, so I appreciate the new self service area.nnAs it was the last time I was in, the floors and shelves were tidy and clean. I was happy to see the staff throughout the store working and assisting customers. When I was frequenting the store five years back, they had a big issue with staff regularly standing in large groups in the aisles, just gossiping about the company, customers, and other staff members. I do wonder if there has been a management change, because that is usually what is needed to have such a fundamental change in staff behaviour.nnAll in all, this was a very positive visit. The stock range remains impressive, the prices are still very keen, and the experience has obviously improved. I'll make a point of visiting semi regularly, and I hope this branch continues to impress.
Love the new layout with even more fresh food. And now with so many self scan tills I can be paying really quickly.
I like this shop and I always shop here but a new till worker named Sarah was very rude person , she shouted at my 9 year old child because he tried to help her by moving stuff closer to her. Since she shouted, he almost cried and didn’t understand why, she is extremely rude and did not have the decency to ask him politely to stop.
I like the organic white wine aldi sell and let's not forget the bargains to be found on the middle aisle.nIt is what it is, good choice of products and decent prices. Plus side, the new self checkouts are great.
