Excellent outdoor sports facilities for football, basketball, table tennis and playground including outdoor gym. Can be busy at weekends and holidays. The park is surprisingly clean and mostly litter and mess free. Not a well lit late at night but for the most part feels fairly safe. Friendly dog walking crowd and joggers usually around. Playground: Recently refurbished with new equipment for 2023, more accessible for kids with disabilities than the previous offering. Dog-friendliness: Plenty of dog waste bins and a friendly dog walking community.
A really good place to visit with family and friends. Really beautiful and soothing environment for families and couples to enjoy a vibe of nature. Have a football ground as well for juniors to enjoy their sports as well. Well-managed tracks for jogging and running. Neat and clean ground
A nice local park to relax in especially in the hotter months when you can lie in the grass and soak up the sun. There is a kids area, outside gym not well maintained, football pitches, bowling green, tennis/badminton/ basketball court and even two table tennis tables to be used. So plenty to do if your wanting to stay within your local area. Its also a good park for dog walking and we've even noticed a regular dog walking group meet up if you've ever heard the howling beagle, thats them! The park is better maintained compared to Kersall Wetlands but still needs alot of improvement to be at Peel Parks standard. Unfortunately we've also encountered some problems here with antisocial behaviour from young teens. We've seen fires being started and even had rocks thrown at us and others from an unruly pack of them that just laughed and continued. Unfortunately this isn't the fault of the park, community officers should atleast walk through occasionally to reduce these events. The park needs lighting throughout at night time as once it's dark, you cannot see who is approaching you and it can be quite unnerving for woman.
Absolutely stunning to walk the dogs here and to see a variety in size with the snowmen around Park. Looked like a winter wonderland and the dogs had so much fun in the snow
Albert Park is a great place to visit for a day out with the family or friends. It offers something for everyone, and is a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Playground: The park can get quite busy on weekends and holidays, so it is best to avoid visiting at these times if you are looking for a more peaceful experience.
Very well kept park in Broughton has tennis court caged basketball and astro turned pitches and a play park for kids suitable for disabled children aswell with specially adapted swings and roundabouts Dog-friendliness: There are always people walking there dogs and are willing to stop have a talk why your dogs have a sniff Picnic area: Many picnic tables in the park area all seem to be adapted to fit wheel chairs up to them
Albert park football ground night view Playground: It’s a Football ground
This park is now like most others in Salford - Ruined. Children going to the toilet everywhere not a wee, dogs in the football and Tennis cages. Drug dealers next to the bowling green, Dog mess and litter everywhere, drug addicts asleep on benches all around the park. Salford Council need to wake up. Just been Saturday never again, people new to the country letting their kids defecate on the path was the last straw... Avoid this park if you can help it.
Unfortunately, you will find all kinds of rubbish and dog waste. The tennis court was clean though.
My kids had fun in this park
