So glad we found out about this spot, we was stopping at a local camp site, which the planes fly right over, but wanted a better, close up view. Other then some potholes bigger than your car, it was a perfect spot to view the jets taking off, landing and running by the edge of the runway. Constant change of people turning up, highly recommended area for viewing
Perfect spot for viewing aircraft coming in to land as well as open views of the aircraft flying over. You can walk further along the perimeter fence to the end of the runway to be under the flightpath of aircraft coming in to land. In the opposite direction there is a smaller area you can park up opposite some of the aircraft hangars.
Only place to watch the airfield, unfortunately the potholes are so big some cars struggled to get in or out
Bumpy car park. Lovely area, to watch the planes. Lot of rubbish around. Would be nice if people took their rubbish home or at least put in the couple of bins which are provided. Saw quite a few planes in the few hours that we were there. Watched planes whilst making and eating our breakfast. Nice spot if you like planes. Quite busy even on a cold day.
Perfect place for watching the planes. The Battle of Britain flight goes straight over the car park! No restrictions on length of stay. FREE parking. Lots of potholes so take care!
Great for sightseeing the aircraft close up. It's free so can't complain that it's not the best kept car park I've been too. A few big potholes, just keep away from them.
Excellent place for aircraft spotting at RAF Conningsby. Theres even a snack bar sometimes too. Highly recommended!
It's a really good place to watch the aircrafts taking off or landing. The car park has enough space for about 60 cars and sometimes the Runway Snack is available for quick bites. Please keep this spot clean place you rubbish in the bins! Toilets are not provided at this location but you can find one in the visitor centre or in the town centre if you need one.
Good place to see aircraft leaving . Watch out the car park needs resurfacing. It has large pot holes.
Took the kids while on holiday at Tattershall lake and you get an amazing view form the car park
