Flight from London Heathrow to Ahmedabad in India. A non stop flight. Aircraft was clean and tidy. Lady changed my seat at check in as requested. Ended up right over the wing and with a broken usb. Face masks must be worn unless exempt on the flight. People take them off to eat and drink so don’t really see the point in that. Flight itself was fine. Food was average taste. It was a lot better than I have as a vegetarian meal on flights. Drinks and snacks were offered as well. Flight was 40 minutes late taking off and landed over an hour late. In flight entertainment was good. Spent most of the full flight sleeping and resting. Lack of consistency with the Covid vaccine paperwork. On the phone they say you don’t need it. At the airport they say you need it at the boarding gate. Luckily I had copies of my vaccinated status. Overall a good experience. I will continue to fly with air India in the future.
Filthy airline, broken seats on their 787. If they don’t have money to repair the arm rest and other broken things, at the very least they should be able afford fresh tape to stick over the broken pieces. Seats and screens are also not cleaned between flights. Avoid if you can.
Worst food, worst service. Decided to go through Air India as it is now under Tata. But food even worst. People who had opted for vegetarian, didn't get as it was less than in quantity & they served it to business class. Just beside me sitting a person, all the time he was coughing, not wearing even mask. It was difficult for me even to sit & eat my food. . Requested to change my seat Or to tell the person to wear the mask, air hostess didn't care for that.
I'm boarding today to India and I was harshly checked by immigration the Indian lady said firstly I'm wearing 2 pants secondly I was harshly told by the British guy that this guy was a nightmare just cause of my skin color I have been harassed today I would call nothing but racisms...
Most chaotic flight I have traveled. Masks are mandatory but cleaning in the flight is not..dirt.. coffee marks.. old coffee mugs.. what not..
Air India Being National Air Line of INDIA - Mera Bharat Mahan. Look the Service National carrier provide to passenger. Air India Call Centre Fit for nothing.. When I tried to calling the customer care many times in last 4 days for Date change for flight cancelled by them. Each time I call they take all details and then transfer the call to different dept.. After waiting in queue for over an hour when someone comes on call take details and say let me check details and they place you on Hold again for hours, After that Either they never come back and call get auto disconnect at 2 hours . When I tried calling them they said they will call arrange a call back after leaving details and never bothered to return the call. on Previous occasions, Call Centre Staff They Lies soo much saying system is down please call back later. When your request to tansfer call to supervisor or manager or complaint department. They Reply saying, "Sorry we cannot Transfer or They are not available please call tomorrow at so and so times etc. I have many Air India Call Centre recording to proof the above statements given. I am providing screen shot of recent call length. Shame on Air India and Their Staff for providing this sort of service. I suggest They should should down or privatise the company
Service was great, and so was the food. Enjoyed my trip.
The flight from London to Mumbai was a little filthy. Bathrooms were dirty. The air crew was awesome and the food was nice.
Probably the worst airline I've travelled with. The on board staff don't seem to care about the passengers at all. The entertainment system didn't work on the flight from Heathrow to Mumbai or on the return leg either. Food was disappointing bordering on inedible. The lights kept going off and on. The fold down table was broken. No blankets or pillows were given out. Most of the staff disappeared after the first meal was dished up , leaving 2 inexperienced staff to handle a plane full of travellers. The online feedback forms doesn't allow specific complaints only marks out of ten. I'm very shocked that this is Indias national airline as it is poor reflection of what is a great country. I won't be flying Air India again and I recommend that you give this great consideration before you fly.
I feel this is the worst airline so far, on Heathrow airport my parents were standing in the queue for 3 hours, they had wheelchair booked, and we got their web checkin done, still just for handing baggage, the poor old age people had to stand, it’s crazy.. airline name is Air India and in India we are taught to respect our elders and it's our tradition, so why not a separate queue for old people, it’s crazy.
