On the main road Aigburth Road, with car park - free. Excellent location, very safe area. The order can only happen through the phone. The chippy is always empty, but the waiting time is sometimes over 1.5 hrs even more. If they say it's 15 mins to collect, definitely won't start cooking your food just after you arrived... They communication skills of the staff is extremely poor, and most of the time they speak only on their own language in front of the customers - usually just whispering. They never give you a straight answer regarding the order, they always asking for more time. Food is a different level. My favourite dish is the salt and pepper chips and ribs with curry sauce. Actually this is the only dish I order from this shop. The curry is spicy, like the ribs and the chips, they're using real chilly what is a huge plus! The chips is well done, as the ribs. Tasty! Apart from the negative impact of the communication and extremely long waiting time I only can recommend them, even if just giving a try. With a tiny little improvement could make it the best chippy - at least in the Dingle-Aigburth area...
I had the liver dinner liver onions chips gravy & mushy peas, just perfect everything was cooked to order fresh & absolutely delicious I wouldn't hesitate to go back if i'm around there.Food: 5/5
The meals are ok. But the chips are beyond a joke. Never had worse.
AWFUL Chips are horrible, they tasted greasy and old and not like chippy chips Probably the worst chippy i have ever had. Everything smelt of oil.
Great chip shop nice chips and plenty of gravy :
The reason folks have to wait so long is because it's such a good chippy so, naturally, they get more customers! Just ring in advance & pick it up when it's ready - WELL worth it! There was a few weeks last year i think? when it closed for a bit - my friends and I were in bits worrying it would be shut for good! NEVER had bad food from them
Beautiful fish and chips, good portions and really crunchy batter, as looking forward to eating our stuff until we had to stop to help at an accident just down the road the other day, so will be making another visit soon
I am a chippy aficionado, myself and my partner have just had the worst chippy meal for years, ordered char sui foo yung fried rice a portion of curry and a portion of chips, char sui was microscopic and very salty, the foo yung was made with 1 egg the fried rice was boiled rice with oil added, and the curry was watered down, the chips were very nice, we had to wait 35 minutes for this mess and£10.70
An excellent little chippy! My advice for anyone visiting is to plan ahead however, it is worth calling in/up before hand to place your order as certain items at certain times will warrant a half hour or so wait. That being said I do believe it is worth the wait. Have yet to have a bad experience with anything here.
Been visiting this chippy over 20 years. Consistently good food , great value and super friendly pleasant staff . Thanks !
