A brilliant CrossFit gym, run by some excellent coaches. The place is friendly and fun. Each day the workouts are varied and challenging. It's a great place to train. I've been a member now for 7 years and couldn't imagine training in any other way now. Love it!

AFS Gym has opened my eyes to a whole new way of keeping fit and enjoying it! The coaches are brilliant and really know their stuff, they tell you when your not doing something quite right, but also when you are doing something well and I think this feedback is important; firstly to stop you injuring yourself and secondly to improve your technique which will in time improve your stamina, strength and fitness level. Every class is different so you never know what the coaches have planned for you, which again I think is good. This year I reached a milestone in my life, I turned the big 40 and I thought to myself right this is the year I want to get my fitness up and lose weight. I piled the weight on after giving up smoking for 26 years. So I first started off attending the 8 week Bootcamp, I liked it that much I did another then another it's addictive lost 2 stone and have now moved on to what Gareth calls phase 2 bootcamp which is a rolling monthly membership. This is the longest I have ever stuck to a sport. Overall my view on this gym is I have no doubt recommending it to anyone, of any age and fitness ability. You never feel out of place and the comradery you have with the other members is great. There is a good mixture of ages, even my 16 year old daughter attended two of the bootcamps with me. Thanks to Gareth and the rest of the coaches.
Great coaching and great people, something different every day and easily scalable for all abilities. I have been at AFS for 7 months after years of trying different gyms and exercises. I plan on continuing throughout pregnancy and afterwards as well, definitely recommend to everyone!
Been training at AFS CrossFit for 10 months now and must say the place is excellent! Great community, great coaching - a totally different vibe to your regular gym. I couldn't recommend the place with any more enthusiasm, thumbs up!
Ive been going since October 2014 and within that year I have now lost 3 stone ive never felt so fit and healthy. It's not like any other gym ive been to Everyone is friendly and I feel comfortable around them. Gareth works you hard and you ache the next day but it's worth it x
I joined Crossfit at the recommendation of Kat's Mum thank you Helen at the end of July this year and apart from a few weeks break when we were on holiday I have been 3 times a week ever since. I'm not afraid to say that I am probably the oldest member over 60 at the gym, but if anyone is thinking of joining please don't let your age put you off. My family were concerned that if I injured myself it would take a long time to recover but Gareth, Kat and Darren are brilliant at showing you the right technique to use and they really don't seem to mind if they have to show you over and over again. I'm sure Gareth has eyes in the back of his head because even when you can't see him, he can certainly see you!! The coaches are strict, but for a reason. They want you to get it right. At times it is very hard but the support of the coaches and the other members around is truly amazing and they really encourage you to do your best. The sense of achievement when you do something you didn't think you would ever be able to do is immense. I would happily recommend AFS Crossfit to anyone of any age.
