Met them at a trade show in wadebridge and liked the style of the products, was told there that quoting to cornwall wouldnt be a problem as they travel down weekly. When we contacted them for a quote but they were abrupt and unfriendly on the phone when my wife explained we were in Cornwall, saying it might be too far. Then did not get back to us after asking us to send multiple pictures of our house etc. Unprofessional time wasters!
We used Devonshire windows for a small extension and had to say they were brilliant, however, we have recently used them on a large project with numerous windows, doors etc. Now we have a window missed from the order as they forgot to survey it, a window that was made into doors, that costs over £700 more than what we should have paid, and one window that has opaque glass in and one that does not in the same bathroom. Promised to look into the issues, no response, so all we can do is not use them again for the other projects we are working on. They have seriously gone down in quality, support and service. Mr and Mrs Chambers, Kingsbridge. I will also add to this that we came to the office in Newton Abbot with the changes required, and a representative marked the changes on the contract and we signed off the order. Those changes were never processed. I raised this with Darren at a later date and he emailed and said he would look into this, and never heard from him again. We have the paperwork with the changes noted on from our meeting with the lady in the showroom, and have proof that those changes were never actioned. The contractor DID NOT sign off the project, it was my wife and myself who came into the office and signed off the order if you check your records, and I have a copy of the email from Darren the MD as well to prove this.
I first came across Devonshire windows at a self build show. They were refreshingly honest in there approach and a subsequent visit to their showroom confirmed their professionalism. There is no pressure whatsoever, which is unusual in this market.
