Wow factor service! Quick turnaround and just felt welcome and a part of a nice group of people. Other customers were lovely too. Chips were OK, fish was OK. Big and thick fish not too thick a batter either but I wanted it to taste that wee bit fresher. Good prices for amount. Curry sauce was good - gravy was unreal! Amazing and packed with bits of veg like onion and mushrooms. Didn't detract from the flavour though. Spot on. 2 specials and 2 cans of drink for less than £15 and we are so full up. Thanks Admiral, we salute you!
Wow what an absolutely amazing fish bar. 2 young ladies serving, very polite and order absolutely correct. They seem to be new and are doing brilliantly. The fryer, another young lady, clearly new exactly what she was doing steering the ship like a seasoned Admiral. Food beautiful and loads of it. Such a shame we are only here on holiday or we'd definitely be regulars!
Service was fantastic, the staff clearly work hard and make sure you're professionally catered for. Food was okay, not quite what I'm used to as far as quality of food. I had fried chicken and chips. Chicken needs more seasoning in my opinion. Chips potentially needed a little more cooking time. Parking is very awkward, especially when busy.
We are staying nearby on holiday, we had burgers, chips & mushy peas. Really enjoyed our meals, the food was very tasty, huge portions of chips. We would definitely buy again if we are passing.
My view on the chips; the right length of cook, not greasy, generous portion. Used a good chipping potato. Top job. A good cook on the cod bites & scampi as well. Thank you.
Beautiful chips, good portion sizes the batter is crispy not soggy and the mushy peas have not been watered down so that they are left with no flavour.Food: 5/5
Very large portion sizes, clean venue with good social distancing measures in place. Free car park at rear. Food was nice, perhaps fish a little bit too greasy but still tasty.
First time here since new ownership, was reluctant after reading some reviews. We really enjoyed our meals the chips were nice & crispy not white & undercooked at all. Will definitely be back again.
The service was excellent. We travelled from away as we were staying at a lodge. The fush and chips were amazing, and the portions great!
We called this lunchtime, as we have many times on the past ,I hate to say this was the worst fish we have ever had, the thick undercooked batter was inedible like a greasy sponge cake! We are sorry to see what was a good business with a good reputation going down the way this has.
