A lovely, laid-back local pub. The beer is good, and the pies with chips and minted mushy peas are freshly made and excellent.nThe staff are friendly and the barmaid is happy to have a chat.nThere was a great band playing on Saturday.
Great place to stop for good beer and food.nThe staff were friendly and helpful during our visit.nWe had ham egg & chips, chicken burger chips and salad plus a sticky toffee pudding with custard.nHighly recommend a visit
Bloody fantastic! Honestly we couldn't have had a warmer welcome, so nice we went away, had a walk and came back again.nnFood was as everyone says a very reasonable price and really lovely. Pie was crisp hot and full of flavour, the minted mushy peas lovely and the chips superb.nnWhat made this place though was the atmosphere, everyone we met made an effort to be really nice. Honestly its well worth a stop and defo for the steak and blue cheese pie!
Exceptional selection of beers and incredible pies - highly recommend! £14.95 for a pie with chips, mushy peas and gravy and it was stunning. There were some options sold out however this didn't impact our experience and there was really good communication about this when we arrived. Indoor and outdoor seating and really friendly bar staff. Really, really recommend
Loved it in adelphi vaults. Oldy worldly relaxed pub. We had the pie and it was all lovely and hot amd great value..we will return next time we are here
