I have been a loyal customer of Auto Acumen for several years, ever since they first established their presence at 310 Queen Street. Throughout this time, I have consistently experienced a high level of professionalism and expertise from their team. Try not to get ripped off from them. I was ripped off lately. They charge different amount of labor if you bring the parts and different if you have them buy the parts. Not transparent at all. During my most recent visit, they said if you leave the shop with car to buy the parts then they will charge me 200$ for labour and if I leave the car with them and have them buy the parts then they charge me 150$. I was even willing to pay the deposit and leave the shop to buy the parts for them but seems like they did not like it and wanted to have a cut in the parts they were going to buy. Parts they quote me was 350$ + tax and I got it in 180$ including tax. think twice before going there. Make sure how much they are going to charge before you hand over your car keys.
I live in Newmarket and I was referred to Fyzal and Jeev in 2013 by my friend. My 04 TL wont give out hot air unless i presses on the gas. on idle it was cold air. I had gone to multiple mechanics and dealerships but no one could fix it so i brought it over to Jeev and Fyzal. Originally Jeev thought it was the thermostat. they replaced it. i remember it was around 5 pm that day when they finished replacing the thermostat. however, when they went on test drive, it still didnt work. Without hesitation, both Fyzal and Jeev jumped in and started diagnosing. turns out there were bubbles in the coolant which is why no hot air was coming. they found the issue and resolved it which no one else could including two different Acura dealerships along with multiple mechanic shops. Its been almost 9 years now and I come to these guys from newmarket for everything related to either my car, my parents car or my sisters car. i have even recommended them to my friends who after their service have flat out said these guys are the best. they have never steered my wrong and i have never once had any issues after their fixes. their prices are fair as well. Not like other mechanics. I HIGHLY recommend them. i would give them 10 stars if i can
If you live within 30 minutes of their garage, it is worth the drive. They offer professional, friendly and fair priced services and only do what work is really needed. The two employees are the owners, so you know you are getting the best service all the time. The only downside is location, location, location as it is tucked away in the back of a busy street, with scarce parking and no schuttle service.
I needed emergency service on my Ridgeline and being from out of town i came to Auto Acumen based on ratings. An honest auto mechanic shop run by people who truly want to help. It is getting difficult to find places conducting business in a way that makes me feel appreciated as a customer not to mention confident in quality of workmanship. Fyzal and his crew make this look easy. I’d give them 6 stars if i could.
This was my first time here. My car overheated on my way home. I was stuck on the side of the road calling mechanics who were all too busy. They immediately said to bring my car in and they would try to help. My car isn't easy to work on it's an old German make. They gave me an honest price for the job, they did the work right away, they fixed my problem, and they have great attitudes. I am comfortable coming back here to continue working on my car.
These two men are truly professionals, and honest. I was referred to Fyzal by my trusting friend. She praised him and his work, she was not wrong. They took care of me, even adjusted my lights, fixed my entry key, without me asking. I as well love the huge bright space they have to work on the vehicle. I highly recommend this shop. Thank you!
Needed a simple bulb change on the weekend, normally I'd go visit an uncle who does great work but he wasn't in the shop. I was a little hesitant to visit elsewhere and be overcharged, happy I came here, these guys were fast, honest and efficient. I'll definitely be back!
Fyzal is not only personable but treated me like family. He took before and after pictures that I never even expected. It made me realize how much of a professional he is. I was shocked by how quick he was with completing the repairs. Prices were reasonable and he will now be my permanent mechanic. If your looking for a mechanic who is welcoming, professional and trustworthy visit Auto Acumen!!!
I was having some problem with my Car’s alternator. So, my cousin recommended this place. Jeeves is very helpful and he assisted me very well and solve the problem. Highly recommend this place.
