Well stocked with a good selection of disability aids.The lady who assisted my mother,couldn't have been more helpful.She also advised on the VAT exemption, my mother was entitled to on her Purchase of an Aluminium Tri-wheel Rollator, which she was VERY HAPPY with.Would recommend the place to friends.

Posting this on behalf of a friend who had a terrible experience with this company: My dad very sadly passed away on 8th June this year. It was extremely sudden and my sisters and l were left devastated. As Linda lives down south, we had a lot do as we are all executors of dads will. Dad had a stair lift installed in October 2016 and he paid cash. The company he used was ABLEWORLD in BROXBURN. In addition dad had also bought 2 motorised scooters from them. We contacted them to see if they bought back stair lifts and we were told they did, they agreed to come out to remove it on 20th June. David from ABLEWORLD came in that day (the day before dads funeral) and got right on removing it. Then came in and said his condolences. He then wrote a cheque out to us and left. The cheque was for £100. We didn't think too much about it as we thought it must have been 2nd hand. A few weeks later we were clearing up some paperwork and came across a receipt for said company and stair lift......for £1495.00.... can you see where l am going with this now. We were stunned as it was brand new. I contacted ABLEWORLD and their attitude was that we were lucky they actually bought it back and what we received as a good price which was discussed before David came out. LIES.....no one discussed a price with us. Emails went back and forth between myself and them. I then reminded them that dad took out an extended warranty and requested this money back. As a goodwill gesture they returned it without vat. The moral of this long story is DO NOT TOUCH ABLEWORLD. In my opinion they prey on vulnerable people and con their families. I have talked to other people who have had companies remove stair lifts and they ALL received half the price back that they paid...the same price as dads, years after they had been fitted. Dads was not even 7 months old. ABLEWORLD are despicable..........

Bought a stairlift from this place at £1200, which took about an hour to fit. As he was leaving I noticed that he was taking away the fitting instructions and manual. When I asked him for them he handed them over reluctantly and told me he didn't usually give the instruction manual to people. I just bought a product from a company whose policy is to withhold the instruction manual and fitting instructions? My mother died a few days later and we were offered £200 for the old one. After the funeral and dealing with my mothers estate, I called Ableworld in Broxburn and quoted the £200 figure, he said 'I'd never have offered £200, it would be £150. It felt as though I was being accused of being a liar. When I explained that he definitely said £200, he lowered his offer to £100. I questioned that it was hardly worth it. He replied 'Okay that's fine' and hung up. The Mr Nice guy you meet in the shop certaily does have an 'occupational' interest in the elderly and disabled. This is indisputable. You afford these products because your vulnerable and need help. Just beware they don't care! Extremely curt aftersales.
