A very pleasant attentative gentleman escorted us to our parking area, which is very limited, when we arrived and to the room on the top floor and was very detailed in helping any way possible if needed. A very basic room, clean and tidy with an en suite shower, toilet, and basin. A Fridge. ,tea, coffee with a kettle available with a hair dryer in the drawer, and a TV that needs to be bigger to see anything and a poor quality image. The fridge was so very loud and kept me awake all night, so some improvement needed to correct this. The toilet also leaked water onto the floor in the en suite, which I reported. The lock on the door was so old-fashioned I have not seen that since the seventies you could see into the room from the outside hall area, so I put a towel over the hole for privacy. A thumb turn lock on the inside needed, not a key for means of escape and a better lock for security needed. The rusty bin wants upgrading as well. Some of the wiring is also a little bit left to be desired. Cctv everywhere as you walk around, up the stairs too, which was encouraging for safety reasons. Overall, it is not too bad experience for the price and in a pleasant area to be in.
What an amazing stay, room was spotless, spacious and modern. Dev was the kindest and sweetest person and nothing was ever too much! I would highly recommend a stay here, my family and I cannot thank you enough for making us feel so welcome. The LonghurstsRooms: 5/5
Our stay at The Suite @ Abingdon Lodge was quite disappointing due to a major issue with the check-out time. Before our arrival, we received an email confirming that check-in was at 3:00 PM and check-out was at 10:00 PM the next day. However, while we were out touring the island, the owner called us and insisted that check-out was actually at 10:00 AM. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, he blamed us for the confusion. Without giving us a chance to resolve the issue, the owner proceeded to clear out our belongings from the room and left them at the reception area. This was done without any notice, leaving us shocked and upset when we returned. The owner’s refusal to accept responsibility and lack of proper communication were highly unprofessional. To make matters worse, the property was not clean. The room was poorly maintained, with visible dust and dirt in several areas. Overall, while the location might be convenient, the lack of cleanliness and the unpleasant treatment we received make this a place I would not recommend.
The reception looked like someones junk room. The room was insecure, the key to the bedroom door was like an old shed key, the door outside the bedroom opened out to the back of the building onto dirty steps and gravel. I asked for the key to that door and I was told that it stays open all the time. The door was old. It wasn't even shut, you just pushed it to open. Th walls were dirty and damp damaged. The bedding was dirty, the pillow case was ripped, there were lots of cobwebs and long lines of dust hanging from the light fittings. The window was on ground level and looked out onto the car park where there was a picnic table with people socialising and smoking which was coming into the room. I called a mobile number as there were no staff on site after 6pm to say that I was unhappy with the standard and we felt unsafe. It was the own I spoke to who was incredibly rude and said I was safe because there is a police station nearby and he has NHS staff stay in the hotel all the time??? He said he would not entertain a refund at all because he had provided everything that he said he would on the website. He also said I should have complained earlier about the cobwebs as then he could have sent the receptionist in to clean it but after 6pm there is noone so noone was coming. It was 7 pm. I did have a shower there, and dat on the bed but did not stay. I said I would pay for the first night and would like a refund for the second night eventhough I was not going to stay at all over night. He said no way because I got what I paid for. He was very rude. He said if someone else books my room for the second night then I would get some money back not all of it, but the hotel wasn't full so it was very unlikely. Absolutely disgusting, the room and the service. I left and got another hotel.
Room very small, shower and toilet area smaller than a travelodge..rooms very hot but they turned it off, thankfully.Bed came away from wall everytime u got into it was not fixed and almost had a accident 1st time thank god my partner spotted it otherwise could have been an a&e situation.Small fridge and small TV needs updating.Very noisy as on main road. Not worth the value they ask for. Rooms: Small only bed and very little walk space. Not worth the money they asked.

Lovely little place. Good location and fridge a most welcome extra. Noteworthy details: Near to buses etc. Rooms are clean. Be prepared to make your own bed. Loved the fridge. Budget accommodation.
Deven is very helpful, went over and beyond to our requests! We came in a big group and I would definitely return be it a big group or in a small family only one.Rooms: 5/5
This is a guesthouse so room only. It's not a beautiful guesthouse but it had nearly everything we'd need. There's a refrigerator in the room, there was a fan, plenty of mirrors, the beds are comfortable with good bedlinen and the towels are of good qualityRooms: 4/5
