Well worth a visit, a good variety of fixed and touring displays. Plus the café's offer a nice place for lunch or a fine piece  Photos are from the outside balcony.

Had a fantastic time at the Aberdeen Art Gallery. A beautiful space, with different pieces than a museum or a modern art gallery. I really enjoyed the collections on display, fantastic work in making each room feel different and interesting. Great gift shop too. Super friendly staff!

Visited for the first time to see the Louise Bourgeois exhibition. Very spacious grand building. I had a coffee in the café downstairs.   Staff were friendly but incredibly slow. I think some were being trained.nExhibition space is really good and a variety of works. As said before you could spend a lot of time here .nif nice I recommend the roof terrace,with a nice Barbara Hepworth and lovely views.  Well worth a visit.

Aberdeen Art Gallery is a wonderful place where both historic and modern artwork are exhibited. It is located at schoolhill, Aberdeen, about 15 to 20 minutes walk from the bus and train terminal. As of the time I visited, there were 22 art galleries with artwork from  around the globe spanning about 700 years. No advance booking is required, and admission was free. It also has a cosy cafe on the top floor for dining and relaxing. The staff are friendly and courteous. Each gallery has a unique story and theme. Photographs are permitted for personal use. However, flash photographs and selfie sticks are not allowed. There is space for street parking, but the building had wheelchair access. It is really worth visiting.
