The Spectra Festival was held here on February You can stroll through the other halls. It's always interesting to look at the exhibits. Sometimes the exhibition is updated, although not very often. Admission is always free, which is wonderful.
Great place to visit at any time of year.. At moment displaying Mary Queen of Scots casket. If you like shiny things & history. A must see while it's on loan to the Gallery. Also Celebrating Grays School of Art exhibition until April. Plus a great display of pottery & ceramics. Plus lots more. Easily accessible. Lifts Diassability friendly facilities. And cafes top and bottom with lovely views out to Aberdeen city centre. Plenty of toilet facilities also on 3 levels. A jewel in Aberdeen city centre that deserves to be well funded and forever kept alive. Gives so much back to the city on culture history & the Arts. Also plenty of shops in the vicinity plus refirbished union terrace gardens. His majesty's theatre. Central city Libary. Triple Kirks pub. If you live in the city or are visiting this is an excellent city centre starting point to visit and plan the rest of your days adventure. To really soak up the Aberdeen Vibe and get the creative ideas going along with the useful information at hand. You would be hard pressed not to find something you like or something of interest in this location. But only one way to find out. Visit and see for yourselves. X
Beautiful gallery with so many incredible features. The building itself is gorgeous, along with all the fascinating artwork exhibitions and the roof terrace is an added bonus.nnThe gallery is full of interesting exhibitions, some interactive - from Aberdeen history to suffragette movements.nnIt is absolutely worth a visit, it’s free and I definitely recommend the stunning views from the roof terrace too.nnFo not miss this place. Thanks to all the tinder staff for galleries like this
What a revelation - one on the best art galleries I have ever visited - we are lucky in our home city regions of Liverpool and Manchester to access amazing facilities and the day before we visited the V&A Storehouse in East London, but this was something else - so well curated and beautiful spaces and galleries, hard to describe how well done it is from the sketch pads to capture your own creativity, to the remembrance hall that is so moving. Its clearly benefited from great investment but its the curation that wins through - a must visit.
