At a point where I think we are all aware the NHS and GP service is struggling with funding and load. The staff and GPs at this surgery never cease to amaze me with their compassion and professionalism. I have a very complex health condition that in the past I have struggled to get support with, I can honestly say after moving to the area this is the best care I have ever had. Plus the surgery administration staff are actively trying to bring in systems to help client experience and listen to feedback.

We were deeply disappointed with Abbottswood after they failed to provide the promised post-operative care for my mother following her hip replacement surgery. Despite initial assurances of home visits for essential services like changing medical socks, the surgery abruptly withdrew their support post-surgery, suggesting we resort to private care or social services instead. Attempts to address the issue were met with indifference, leaving us without the necessary support during a critical time. This breach of trust and poor communication has significantly impacted our confidence in this practice.

Moved to the area and to this practice 9 months ago. Very impressed with everything- easy to get an appointment, friendly and efficient staff and always taken on time for appointments. Well done to all the staff

Absolutely fantastic service. I’ve just joined after moving . The difference between Abbottswood and my old surgery is incomparable, from the friendly reception and pharmacy to the ability to book a doctors appointment. The Doctor was fantastic too. I am very impressed so far. They even have a vending machine for repeat prescriptions that can be accessed 24/7

I had to attend the surgery for a test yesterday. I was quite nervous due to a past experience and the nurse was wonderful. She talked me through the whole thing and was so kind and understanding. GPs also really helpful and care about their patients.
