Great place where you can find practically anything you need. Friendly staff. Pricing is competitive with the "big box" retailers who aren't as helpful.
An amazing shop...wife was in Sainsburys so thought I'd pop in...bought a sieve, timer, polyfiller, a stump splitter and 2 sledgehammers...I didn't go in for anything The 2 chaps working there were brilliant, Chris was one, didn't get the other ones name. A really friendly shop and too easy to forget they are there and order on line or from a bigger shop. A brilliant local shop, please support them and remember they are there.
Shopped here many times over the years and although not often needed, when I do want something specific they always seem to have it in stock. The staff are all extremely helpful and knowledgable.
The lady was really helpful and we left with test paint to try for the hallway
Abbotts is the best of all worlds: family run and small enough to deliver personal, friendly service and big enough to stick just about everything you need for your next project or emergency. Prices are reasonable, the welcome is excellent.

Great shop. Very rare to not have that tricky connector or tool you need, and if not they will get it next day. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are much better than the big diy stores.
Ottery has two of the most useful and helpful hardware and home improvement stores in East Devon! Proper neighbourly people always eager to help. Abbotts is always my first port of call for all my DIY needs.
Abbot's DIY is a legend hereabouts. Great choice, great value, great service, great community involvement. A family business with generations of history. Hardly needs a review as everybody round here knows!
